When I first ordered the package, I thought they were treats for training. When I opened the bag and tried to cut them into small pieces, I soon learned that they are not made to slice. My 2 yo cream golden retriever was VERY interested in them and when I gave it to him he swiftly took off to a comfortable place to chew and savor the goods. So, I see now, that I will use them for High Value rewards. I'm working on adding distractions to the training and these will fit our needs for sure. I like the fact that they are all natural as the sole ingredient is Cod fish skins.

The only ingredient is codfish skin so I feel good about giving them this treat. Because these are dried, 6 ounces seemed to have a good amount that lasted us a while. Pup and human approved.

Millie, our 10 yo Golden Retriever, is quite happy with her Jack Petpals codfish skin rolls!! When she got her first one, she loved the scent and was excited to figure out how best to tackle it! So, there was a short learning curve for her. Once she got the twist/roll a little wet, she figured it out and went to town!! I've bought versions of these from other, well-known companies and the ladies have always loved them. One of our pups is a little more picky and didn't eat a different brand of these, just danced around it. This one, however, she dove in immediately and ate the whole thing. Always recommend to keep an eye on your pup when giving something like this as one of our pups has a tendency to swallow them whole and half chokes it up to continue chewing on it.

My dog absolutely loves these codfish skin strips. They are about 5 inches long, which makes them a suitable size even for small dogs, and they take just enough time to chew without being too tough. I was pleasantly surprised that they have virtually no smell, especially compared to other fish-based treats. I also appreciate that they are a single-ingredient product, which makes me feel good about giving my dog something healthy and simple. If you are looking for a clean, high-quality treat that dogs genuinely enjoy, these are an excellent choice.

What I DO like about these is that I wasn't overpowered by stinky fish smell like a lot of cod skin chews. Sadly, that's where my like for this product comes to an end. My basset hound analyzes new treats before he decides he likes them or not. He did not actually eat this. What he DID do was slobber it up until the slices of fish skin softened up and came apart, and then he left a trail of fish skin strips on the floor. The strips are longer than the actual chew, and they look like baby eels or thin snakes... which is exactly what the fight or flight part of my brain thought it was experiencing when I first noticed he'd walked away from the treat unwound and uneaten !

Single ingredient Codfish is a good source of protein and Omega-3. She loves them, which means I do too. Wow what a different treat/chewy this is!

So my one dog (both Shih Tzus) loves anything fish, salmon treats, dehydrated minnows, she never had cod skins before & I didn’t think she’d take it & she smelled

So my one dog (both Shih Tzus) loves anything fish, salmon treats, dehydrated minnows, she never had cod skins before & I didn’t think she’d take it & she smelled & smelled it & then did a grab & run, my other Shih Tzu who won’t eat anything fish, did the same thing, smelled & grabbed & ran. Both love them & they last them quite a while because they have to work on chewing the skin. A fantastic treat idea!!

They seem like a good value, there are quite a few in the bag. Perhaps other dogs will love them but my guy did not.
