Paul Mitchell Pet Tear-Free Dog, Cat & Small Pet Shampoo, 16.9-fl oz bottle

It seems to do a decent job cleaning-as in, getting your animal clean. I wouldnt use this on every kind of small animal: I didnt trust using it on my hedgehog based on the smell alone. I did, however, use it on our 2 cats. First off, I did NOT like the smell of this product. That alone made me not want to use it, but i have the bottle and its not going to go to waste. Our cats are indoor cats. One is a short but very dense and high shedding calico, and the other is a short haired orange tabby. Now the purposes of a shampoo are to get your pet clean, and it did do that-quite well. My orange cat is good at getting messy with soft food. Thats why im giving it a 3 star rating: itll clean and thats the only decent thing about it. I used it on my brothers dog as well. They needed to give him a bath and brought him to my house aince theyre in an apartment and wanted to have him done outside. It seemed to clean him up nicely (a german shepherd malinois mix). Went far, not too much lather. but they didnt care for the smell either and he got a double bath with another product we use all the time. To me the smell is the downfall. It was so strong, and so unpleasant. It thankfully didnt last for long (like 3 days). Ill keep it to use for when they make a mess, and maybe to use to help with cleaning off their cat tree with a soapy rag as needed, but i wouldnt use it on my pets again, or anywhere that the smell cant air out of quickly.
