  • Hours of fun for energetic dogs! We LOVE this ball!

    By on

We have a German Shepherd and bought this when she was only about 4 months old. It took a little time for her to grow enough to really appreciate it but this is by far her favorite outside toy! She is a average chewer when it comes to toys. After several months of play it has some scratches on it from her trying desperately to pick it up. This ball does have a plug so I can see some more determined dogs could find a way to chew it up a bit. For us it has worked great. We play soccer with our pup with it. She pushes, pulls and chases it all over the yard. Often demanding that we play ball with her. She will go play with it by herself too. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something We have a German Shepherd and bought this when she was only about 4 months old. Again if you have a super chewer this does have a recessed plug that some dogs might try to get a hold of and chew. … more

  • We love our Jolly Ball!

This jolly ball is awesome! I wanted something oversized that would be impossible for my two labs to get ahold of. This keeps them on their toes and perpetually chasing the ball. It challenges them (and at first annoyed them) and they have a lot of fun rolling around with it. It’s very durable, made of a HARD plastic. It’s perfect for the backyard and easy to hose off. This size is fine for inside play too, but depending on your space you may want the 10-inch for indoor play. Would highly recommend!

  • The plug hole means it won't last very long...

    By on

I even asked the question about this item before purchasing, "Does this ball have a recessed plug or is it solid all around?" and received the answer from Chewy, "This Toy does not have a plug, it is a solid ball." -- This is not true! This ball does indeed have a recessed plug which means my Mastiff is going to chew it up in no time. This ball was purchased to replace the expensive Varsity Ball I bought him previously, which has no hole at all, and he chewed that one up so this one, with a hole to get his teeth into, isn't going to last. :( I've included a photo of the ball after one play session.

  • Best investment, yet

Our American Pitbull is an playful, aggressive chewer. No other play thing seemed safe from his jaws, that is, until we purchased this ball. He now entertains himself several times a day... usually to the point of exhaustion. A great resource for exercise !

  • Love a jolly ball

My pit bull has destroyed pretty much everything he has gotten his mouth around and he chewed the handle right off of his jolly ball, too. BUT he is still able to play with it. Unlike soccer balls and basketballs which deflate, this ball is made to pop back out and keep rolling. We also tried the Varsity ball but since it is hard solid plastic with no way for a dog to bite or grip, Charlie was easily frustrated with it. Varsity balls are for "herders" and were tested on large cats (as in lions - I donated mine to a local rescue organization). Jolly balls are not completely indestructible (like I said, Charlie chewed the handle off of his) but he is still playing with it after several months so My pit bull has destroyed pretty much everything he has gotten his mouth around and he chewed the handle right off of his jolly ball, too. • Ball- but not what you think.

I searched for a soccer ball, as my dog LOVES soccer, but always manages to puncture a hole in the ball, and this popped up. I bought it and quickly realized this is not your ordinary ball. You cannot kick it. You can kind of push it around with your feet but it will definitely hurt your toe if you kick. Also you cannot kick it into the dog or it will hurt the dog. With all of that said, it continuously rolls and since it is hard, the dog cannot bite into it, which keeps him busy trying to. I like this ball. I accidentally ordered the huge 14" and I thought it would be too big but my dog still likes it. The ball is hard plastic but light and hollow. • Great product

    By on

I needed something for my granddog to do when he was outside in his fenced yard other than chewing up plastic buckets and other things that are not appropriate. He loves balls but obviously they don't remain balls for too long. I thought of this and looked online and found chewy.com. Although he does have some teeth Groove marks in the Ball it is indestructible. He has a blast pushing it around and trying to pop it. And I have blast watching him. If you have a dog that likes to chew things up this is a great choice.

  • Great Strong Ball

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My dog loves this ball now, however, I actually had to teach her how to play with it since it is so big and so different than her other balls and toys. She didn't quite know what to do with it outside, so I had to play with her and the ball in the family room for a day. Then we took it outside again and she really enjoyed it. It is strong because she has only left some teeth marks on it, but the ball is hard and strong and did not get holes in it.

  • Indestructable

Perfect ball for a bigger animal. I have a 1&1/2 year old rottweiler puppy who loves this toy. Rottweilers were bred as herding dogs and mine must have it in her d.n.a. because she rounds that ball up into circles and lets her instincts take over. Hours & hours of play time and the ball just keeps coming back for more. I got the idea from my daughter who has a German shepherd that tries it's hardest to destroy this ball but no can do. Great product for the price. You will be very happy with your purchase and your dogs will absolutely love you more for getting them this product.
