My dog loves these treats! He is a senior, and could have better dental health, but these are not an issue for him to eat at all. He goes crazy for them. I wish

My dog loves these treats! He is a senior, and could have better dental health, but these are not an issue for him to eat at all. He goes crazy for them. I wish they were a bit easier to tear into smaller bites, but they are still a great reward. We like to give him one when we eat our dinner (and he's not begging!) or when we leave the house. The bag is also STUFFED full of treats, which is not something you encounter very often! I appreciate that the ingredients list mostly duck, but it does also list peanut protein which may be important to some.

My 8-year-old golden/corgi mix, Ollie, absolutely loves these Jungle Calling Slow Roasted Duck Jerky Dog Treats. We’ve been using them daily for about a week, and he literally runs in circles with excitement every time I grab the bag. The treat size is perfect for him, and they’re easy to give as a reward or snack. The scent is a bit strong and unusual, but it doesn’t bother Ollie at all. Since he has some allergies, I always pay close attention to ingredients, and this product checks all the boxes for us. I would definitely recommend these treats to other dog owners and plan to keep them as part of Ollie’s routine.

These duck jerky treats are ok. My 3 Great Danes were stoked to try something new, but one of them left the treat on the floor for the other to snatch. A few hours later, I tried them again with the dogs, and all three ate them without complaint, so maybe it was just the initial texture, size, or smell. I’ll continue to try and feed these to them, as they do seem to have quality ingredients and are shelf stable.

The package is well sealed and a bit difficult to open. However, this keeps the contents fresh. After opening, I gave a small piece to my dog. I tried to get photos with subsequent small pieces, but she liked it so well she gobbled it down so no pictures. The bag contains multiple strands of the jerky, and the bag has a portion scale, denoting portions by small, medium, and large sizes. The product does contain an exceedingly small amount of sorbitol (.2%) just in case your dog doesn't do well with that. Because the product is not made in the US, I took away 2 stars. If this isn't an issue for you, then this seems to be a good product.

The "Jungle Calls Slow Roasted Duck Jerky" just arrived yesterday, and Opal and Porkchop love it! They each had a piece when i opened the Chewy box and since then have been gazing longingly whenever they see the bag. While 125 lb. Opal quickly gulps a strip down, it makes a longer lasting treat for 30 lb. Porkchop. The jerky is tough to break by hand, but works great as flavorful training treats when cut into small pieces. I was impressed by the amount of strips in the bag. So often when I buy treats, the bag is only half full. Jungle Calls knows how to fill a bag! We plan to try the other flavors in the future.
