How To Store & Serve
Storing
Store frozen food for up to 18 months in the freezer. Thawed food can be kept in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
Thawing in Fridge
(Recommended) 24 hours for 18 ounces of food and up to 48 hours for 72 hours of food.
Thawing in Cold Water
1 hour for 18 ounces of food and 3 to 5 hours for 72 ounces of food.
Serving
Place the appropriate amount of fully thawed food in your dog’s food bowl and serve!

Not a Fan of This Food
I have three German Shepherds and a Chihuahua. Two of my dogs, the oldest Shepherd and the Chihuahua, have food allergies out the yinyang. I have, through trial and error and meticulous culprit ingredient identification narrowed their food and treats down to those that keep their allergic reactions in check but I thought I'd give this food a try for my two hyper-allergenic canine kids. Although they certainly liked it and I slooooooowly introduced it the proper way, it gave them very strange stools and gastric difficulties that wouldn't let up. It did nothing better (or worse) for them allergywise than the food I had them on, so I slowly put them back on the foods they had been eating, which were less expensive and, most importantly, didn't cause the gastric dysfunction. This is good food, I'm sure, for many dogs, and maybe even a miracle worker for some dogs... just not mine.
best food yet
My dog is allergic to every protein except for cod fish. We have tried every kibble to every canned dog food you can think of and had reactions to almost everything because of all the extra byproducts they add into the foods. This is only thing that allows my dog to maintain his health and be happy as well while eating it. No more emergency trips to the vet because he was sick. He’s been on this food for almost a year now and has improved his over health. He has so much energy now. I swear by this company. Thank goodness for just for dogs otherwise I would be making it which is what we did for 7 months before finding this company.
Fish and Sweet Potato Recipe
I am disappointed that we can only purchase one flavor (other than the variety pack). I purchased the multi pack of the fish and sweet potato recipe and my dog is not crazy about it. I have to put bacon grease and peanut butter on it to get him to eat it. I like the Just For Dogs food quality, I just don't like that you have to buy all of one kind. Now I have to bribe him to eat it until I can order another flavor.
Doggy approved
We received this product as part of a free sample program and am I glad we did! My dogbis about 10 months and finding dog food that Iike for her can be challenging. She loved this flavor and the chicken meal. I loved that it looks like it should and smells like it should while knowing what she is actually getting. She never once turned her nose and always behaved better for it. Would purchase and recommend. It's a great product for the doggies!
My pups love it
My son's dog had seven puppies and my lady and I started them on a wet dog food to help wean them off their mother. She would blend dry dog food with water and a protein mix. Once they start to take to it we would feed them the JustFoodForDogs variety packs every other meal. They loved every bit of it. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has the young pups looking to help them transition to solid food.
More Sweet Potatoe and carrots than fish.
I have to chop the meal before feeding because my dogs are smaller and prefer smaller chunks. When I do this (chop), I find that much of the food is comprised of the orange vegetable. They do enjoy the food, but I feel I'm getting more vegetable than fish. I assume the fish is what makes the meal a little more expensive. (Also very little of the green vegetables)

I am giving this product 4 stars because only two of my dogs approved of this dog food. My German Shepard wanted nothing to do with the food. She sniffed it and flipped her food dish over. On the other hand my huskies enjoyed it. One of my huskies is very picky with what she will eat and after a few sniffs and a lick she gave the food her seal of approval. My other husky devoured not only her food dish but the food my German Shepard left behind and was begging for more. I loved that the food is all natural. It smells great and the look reminds me of homemade chicken noodles soup. But best of all I had the convenience of it being shipped right to my front door. So overall I would definitely recommend this dog food to all of my friends with the disclaimer to try a small quantity before you buy in bulk because not all dogs taste buds are the same. (I was given a free sample to try before writing this review)
Make the doggies come running
My dogs really loved this good. It is Convenient and healthy. After the first day the dogs knew when they saw me open the fridge they were getting fed. They were begging of their new food. All my dogs adjusted to the food slowly being introduced except my Frenchie. My Frenchie did get the runs, he does have a more sensitive stomach. My other three a pitbull, terrier and Shih Tzu did fine. I love the packaging and it was still frozen when delivered even live in Phoenix and being delivered in the summer. I would recommend this to family and friends; however I would not be ordering as the cost is too high with 4 dogs. I received this as a sample program. It came with a case of 7 packages. I wish I could continue to feed my dogs this food. I do feed raw vegetables to them, they do really enjoy that, but this food they loved and ate super quick.
Dogs love it
The dogs love the food. Skin, coats, weight and so on are much healthier. Now I just wish chewy also carried carna4 easy chew too.

No nonsense simple & fresh ingredients. I received this product free as part of a sample program in exchange for a honest unbiased review. This is a great addition for my boxer with sensitive skin and stomach, I feel great knowing we sre feeding her a healthy fresh food and she is feeling excited over her drool worthy meal. It's conveniently pack, easy to keep frozen and thaw out, chunks of sweet potato, just a win all around. I would definitely recommend this to any pet parent looking to get started on a fresh healthy food journey for their fur babies.
