Something different
I bought this because my dogs liked the frozen variety of this food from the same company. I don’t know what they do differently to make it shelf stable but whatever it is, my dogs will not eat it at all. I have had to throw out every bowl of food I have prepared with this mixed in. I don’t understand because it looks very similar and I purchased the flavors of pantry stable product that they liked when I got the variety pack of the frozen version.
Even picky eaters will go for this
I received the variety pack to sample in exchange for a review. I have two dogs one is a 70lb pup that is happy to eat almost anything and the other is a little (though she thinks she's huge) 27 lb picky as a queen pup. Both girls devoured the chicken and rice and my picky queen even scorched her plate down then moved it over to pick up the bit that fell on the floor. Usually I have to add a little table scraps but there was no need with this which makes sense since it looks like the same food we eat. The ingredients are great and this is a perfect solution for picky eaters. These are pantry safe and even easier to store than cards with their box shape. The beef and potatoes was also a hit the picky eater did leave some of the potatoes behind but ate the rest. If I had one smaller dog this would be a no brainer and I would switch to only JustFood for Dogs but with needing about about three and a half boxes a day for my dogs ends up being around $30 a day which I just can't swing. I do intend on buying these and giving my pups these every once in a while because they do love them it's just not sustainable for me at the moment. As far as quality goes these are great. They don't have that weird dog food smell, and they look so much better you can easily tell it's actual food.
My little old lady loved this stuff!
And it did right by her too! In her senior years it has been a trial to get the kind of food that gives my dog what she needs and have it be something she's actively excited about eating. I got to try this pack for free as a promotional review, but my pup loved this stuff. It wasn't bad at all to smell upon opening. I'm sure "you" have had that experience with wet food that curls your nose hairs as you dole out the portion for your own dog, hoping it somehow smells good to them at the very least. The only quibble I'd have with this kibble is the fact that if you aren't feeding a box of it at a time it is progressively harder to wrangle the morsels out of the rectangular juice box style packaging. Maybe a more rounded package would help, or a sturdier utensil on my part. Either way, that's not even a negative enough winge to deduct a star compared to how much my dog loved this stuff. How it kept her filled up and fueled for the rest of her day and didn't interfere with any of her elimination duties. Would definitely buy!
My dog loves it and his tummy too
My dog is usually picky about his food and his stomach is sensitive kibble would cause constant upset stomach and loose stool so we switched to fresh food but it takes to much space in my fridge/freezer sometimes and it is not convenient for our summer travels I received this sample pack for free to review and left for vacation with it. There was no transition period between his usual food and this one I was worried about loose stool which happens every time we get a different brand but he had no problems at all. For making my vacations easier and my pup life much better i give it 5 starts
Enjoys Mealtime Much More
We really just wanted to add a little something to his dry food, so we take a 1/4 cup and mix it in. He enjoys eating so much more! Licks that bowl for 5 minutes after everything is gone!
Good Stuff for my Babies
i got the JustFoodForDogs Pantry Fresh Beef & Chicken Variety Pack Fresh Dog Food, 12.5-oz pouch, case of 6 for my 14 year old Bella. She loves it. She will eat every little bit. I like how it looks, smells. It looks like somethin us human would eat, but mate healthy for a dog. The container is easy to store and to open.
Pretty good food
For shelf stable food I'd say this is pretty good. Great for the sake of convenience especially if I forgot to get out the frozen stuff to defrost first. Not really my first choice, we prefer the frozen diet or our home cooked stuff, but it does the job.
Devoured it!
My dogs devoured this. As i opened the box of JustFoofForDogs carton. Their little noses perked up and they couldn't wait for me to set yhe bowls down. SInce it was a carton I was surprised at the freshness. The lining in the does keep the meal fresh. Also be sure to follow the directions on how to open the carton, this way if you need to refrigerate leftovers you can close it well. The meal was great! It has shredded chicken and real veggies. My dogs were so happy. I will order more!

Very impressed
I saw a commercial for JustFoodForDogs recently and thought I should give it a try for my picky eater. First I like how the come in cartons instead of cans. It seems to take up less space when storing in my pantry. I really appreciated the ingredients that they use and actually my dog loves all the food outside of trying JustFoodForDogs so I figured she’d like this. I was right! The chicken & rice one was her favorite but she liked the Beef & Potatoes also. Didn’t leave a single lick of food in her dish (she usually does) and never protested her food! I’m happy with the food quality and she’s happy with the taste it’s a win-win. I received this free in exchange for my honest review. All of my opinions are my (and my dogs!) own.
