Smart dogs.....

I wasn't really sure how many stars to give. Sully isn't really a power chewer, but he's ripped a few beds that were basic beds so I figured I'd try this one.

I wasn't really sure how many stars to give. Sully isn't really a power chewer, but he's ripped a few beds that were basic beds so I figured I'd try this one. It's well made but the price tag is why I ultimately gave 2 stars. Within 2 hour, Sully noticed the zip ties, even though I cut the lengths off, attached to the lowest area of the wire crate and that was that. He chewed the loops where those slip through and attach. I'm truly sad bc of the price. Definitely not chewy's fault or even k9 ballistics...my dog is just a really smart jerk lol

Durable, but I don't know about comfortable.

My puppy had lost most of his baby teeth by the time I used this with him. He tried to chew on it when I put it in his playpen, but I always redirected him; when it was in his crate, he really wasn't able to chew on it. Unfortunately, because of the material it is made out of to make it durable, it's not very comfortable. My puppy often chooses not to rest on it during the day, and he has a hard time sleeping on it at night during the summer. If you have a dog or a puppy that overheats, I would only use this if you have to. I am having my puppy use a towel in his crate during the summer instead so he doesn't get too hot. For now, I am trying to use it as a "place" mat for my puppy. I also try to have my older dog use it when her bed is in the wash, but she doesn't like it at all.

I wouldn't consider this chew-resistant much less chew-proof. I had some hopes for it given the material and the fact I had it zip-tied to the crate, but within 15 minutes, my puppy had already started tearing it apart. I've had beds a quarter of this price last longer with her, so I felt compelled to leave a review so that other pet parents don't wind up buying into the hype like I did.

quick receipt, tough material

This is the second one we bought so we could have it in 2 places. It works well for our super hyper female German Shepherd. It holds up very well.
