Smart dogs.....

I wasn't really sure how many stars to give. Sully isn't really a power chewer, but he's ripped a few beds that were basic beds so I figured I'd try this one.

I wasn't really sure how many stars to give. Sully isn't really a power chewer, but he's ripped a few beds that were basic beds so I figured I'd try this one. It's well made but the price tag is why I ultimately gave 2 stars. Within 2 hour, Sully noticed the zip ties, even though I cut the lengths off, attached to the lowest area of the wire crate and that was that. He chewed the loops where those slip through and attach. I'm truly sad bc of the price. Definitely not chewy's fault or even k9 ballistics...my dog is just a really smart jerk lol

My puppy had lost most of his baby teeth by the time I used this with him. He tried to chew on it when I put it in his playpen, but I always redirected him; when it was in his crate, he really wasn't able to chew on it. Unfortunately, because of the material it is made out of to make it durable, it's not very comfortable. My puppy often chooses not to rest on it during the day, and he has a hard time sleeping on it at night during the summer. If you have a dog or a puppy that overheats, I would only use this if you have to. I am having my puppy use a towel in his crate during the summer instead so he doesn't get too hot. For now, I am trying to use it as a "place" mat for my puppy. I also try to have my older dog use it when her bed is in the wash, but she doesn't like it at all.

I wouldn't consider this chew-resistant much less chew-proof. I had some hopes for it given the material and the fact I had it zip-tied to the crate, but within

I had some hopes for it given the material and the fact I had it zip-tied to the crate, but within 15 minutes, my puppy had already started tearing it apart. I've had beds a quarter of this price last longer with her, so I felt compelled to leave a review so that other pet parents don't wind up buying into the hype like I did.

Disappointed

huge disappointment

Was really hoping this one would stand up to our lab who loves to nibble the corners of a crate pad. No dice.... the first night she left it alone and we were excited

Was really hoping this one would stand up to our lab who loves to nibble the corners of a crate pad. No dice.... the first night she left it alone and we were excited to find it all in once piece in the morning... she was clearly messing with us. Because the next morning she had torn up a zip tie and chewed the entire corner.. challenge accepted/ operation completed. The worst part... when I went to cut the rest of the zip ties to take the ruined mat out, they popped right off the crate with the tiniest tug. A chihuahua could have pulled it loose! Flushing cash down the toilet.... Chewy: we love your products/reviews but this one was not accurate.

A crate mat that really lives up to it's name!

I have waited a month before submitting this review because I wanted to make sure this crate mat was still in one piece and I'm thrilled to report it is. I have

I have waited a month before submitting this review because I wanted to make sure this crate mat was still in one piece and I'm thrilled to report it is. I have owned three boxers and our newest addition has been intent on chewing everything we have put in his crate from towels, to blankets to dog beds. I was hesitant to spend the money on this crate mat initially fearing he would tear through this mat but he hasn't. I did use the enclosed zip ties to firmly attach it inside the crate.

sturdy material and design
