I purchased a K9 ballistics bed for my dog when she was a puppy and destroyed everything 11 years ago, and it withstood all of her attempts. So I purchased this crate pad for our new rescue pup. She didn't try to chew on it for a month, except today, during a one hour long containment in her crate where she was unusually anxious and restless, she easily chewed through multiple corners of the bed. I'm pretty disappointed, I had higher expectations given my past success with the company.

Less than buying direct from K9 Ballistics

I bought this to put in front of fireplace for my dog. Also will use when we have thunder or fireworks and my dog hides out in the guest bathroom. This cost less

I bought this to put in front of fireplace for my dog. Also will use when we have thunder or fireworks and my dog hides out in the guest bathroom. This cost less than buying direct from K9 Ballistics (all K9 Ballistics products are great!)

Did not last

He chewed through the corner, stuffing, padding, and matt. There is a 120 day warranty on it so trying to get k9 ballistics to work with me.

So far, very little damage

My 8-year-old lab mix puppy has destroyed every conceivable bed she has ever had. One time it cost 7k to get it out of her intestines. She has destroyed even the Impact Crate original bed (and part of the Impact crate itself). However, her fierce appetite for eating through doors when alone and my unfortunate need to have a job results in the safest option that she be crated when alone. So far, she loves this bed. She did try chewing on the velcro part underneath but I just flipped it around so that she lifts the other side instead and that has ended the velcro-eating so far. After one month, the bed has lasted through her best gnawing efforts and she does like going in the crate more now that she has a bed that's not shredded. I'm buying a second one for her travel crate. Wish it luck.

I recently adopted a Doberman that was rehomed and came a K9 ballistics bed for him. I was impressed by the construction and materials, and liked how the insert was similarly covered in the rip-stop material. Other beds I’ve had were torn up internally when my dogs scratched at the exterior , even though the external fabric stayed intact. The crate mate is similarly constructed with an internal and external fabric cover. It’s easy to clean and not “fluffy” in anyway but is soft. It’s a bit noisy due to the material, if your pup moves around a bit. No issues with my blanket-chewing dog with this crate mat.

This is the second one I purchased for my dog. The first one is still in great condition minus the outer cover is starting to break down from him digging on the mat. It’s thick and comfy, and he seems to love this mat. It is challenging to get the outer cover back on, it’s a workout! But it washes and dries nicely.
