The Booster Dog Food has more added probiotics than the Toppers.
This was recommended to me as a high value training treat for my puppy during classes. The product information says it is for adult dogs. Is this suitable to break up into training treats for a 3 month old puppy?

This food topper is suitable for all dogs. It is not a complete diet and should be fed along with a complete and balanced diet. The pieces can be broken into smaller pieces, if wanted.

K9 Natural Lamb Green Tripe Booster Freeze-Dried Dog Food Topper 2 ounce is approximately 1.5 cups. That would be 6 servings for small dog, 3 servings for Medium dog and 1+ servings for large dog based on recommended feeding.

A Daily Must

This has SO much goodness in it that I feed them just a few little pieces a day and I know I am helping them remain healthy. Also love that it comes from New Zealand and is grass-fed. They like Lamb the best.

Smelly but dog adores this stuff

The label states it is smelly stuff. It is really not that bad and my dog literally dances on her hind legs when I put it on top of her kibble.

Great Training Option

These are the only treats my pup will take while walking. These have been so critical for loose leash walking, it’s easy to break off small pieces and quick treat my pups good behavior. I don’t feel guilty feeding her these, as they’re really great ingredients.

Teacup Yorkie Approved

This bag is a very large one! It's great. My 10 Week Old 1.5 lb Yorkie Puppy loves this stuff on top of her food or just as a treat for potty breaks, tricks, etc. Buy this, you won't regret it! Tripe is an excellent nutritional supplement for your dog. Read about it! It's amazing. I'm sure fresh tripe would be super stinky, but the freeze dried is not.

Allergic Reaction

Dog ate this without issue with his afternoon meal, a few hours later he had golf-ball size hives covering his body; his eyes, and muzzle were swollen. I'm thinking it was a reaction to a insect bite and so did the vet. After some shots and benadryl for a day my dog recovered. The next day I gave him this product with his evening meal for the second time and within two or three hours or so later he had hives again. So narrowed it down to this product being that the kibble didn't present adverse reactions during the other servings (I feed 3 times a day) My dog enjoyed eating it, in fact he picked it out from the kibble, but the adverse reaction will prevent me from buying this again.

Does not rehydrate well

My dog loves this brand of lamb green tripe but only when I rehydrate it. However, this recent batch had really hard pieces and did not rehydrate well compared to a previous bag we got which rehydrates easily. For this batch, I soaked it in warm water for 20 min and still ended up with hard pieces. Might be good for other dogs who don’t mind this, but Toby loves the chewy texture when rehydrated.

Healthy and tastes great

My dog eats a raw diet. This Green Tripe was recommended to encourage my puppy to eat at the beginning when transitioning to raw. My puppy loves the Green Tripe. It is healthy and tastes great. I also break it up and use it for high value treats. I will definitely be buying this again.

Great healthy treats!

I use these as both toppers and treats. They were recommended by an animal nutritionist since we only feed raw and this is the added probiotics that they need.
