I was excited for this since my newly inherited 2.5 year old husky loves to work for his food and puzzles. This item is very easy to fill, but maybe that was the problem because he soon tired of spinning the wheel and get little bites from each lidded area. Everything was fine until I stopped paying attention and then heard the sound of plastic being chewed. He unscrewed the lid somehow and did chew one lid and popped off another, which was easily reattached. In my opinion, it actually held up way better than some other new toys. I would suggest this puzzle feeder be used under supervision and for kibble snack-boredom killer versus to feed meals. Out of all the ways I feed him to keep his mind stimulated, he really loves snuffle mats the most, and he doesn’t destroy them This is just an extra tidbit of my experience with a large husky mix.

I have two, now three different slow feeders for my dog. However, she's so intelligent that the second one she had figured out in 24 hours! This feeder is definitely more challenging and she's not scarfing her food down anywhere between 2 minutes and 6 minutes. I'm hoping that eventually I can put her back on her raised bowl and not have to worry about her finishing it in one setting. She's always been a speedy eater, then complains if she ate the full recommended amount in just minutes, swallowing it all whole! Then demanding more food 30 or so minutes later, because she didn't digest it slowly.

This is awesome! Unlike many slow feeders food does not get everywhere and it is actually a bit challenging for my pup to spin so she has to work hard for it. The only thing(that I like) is when on tile it’s a bit slick on the bottom so it increases the challenge when my pup has to get it to stay in place while spinning. There are ways to address this if you don’t want that to happen
