  • Good for it's price, needs modified for use

We have meat rabbits and were looking for something safer for our rabbits than metal feeders that rust outside in the elements. This feeder is cheap, enough that if they chew the plastic in a few months, why metal is so popular, it can be replaced. However, the instructions for in the cage attachment is vague and impossible. I have a standard, manufactured three compartment cage. With nothing for the screw to screw into, it doesn't hold for this use. My cage does not allow me to cut for outside attachment. I fixed this by using zip ties to secure it to my cage and then attaching the feeder. It's a good feeder, worth keeping and I bought more in stores, just don't waste your time like We have meat rabbits and were looking for something safer for our rabbits than metal feeders that rust outside in the elements. I fixed this by using zip ties to secure it to my cage and then attaching the feeder. It's a good feeder, worth keeping and I bought more in stores, just don't waste your time like I did trying to figure out how to secure it. Skip straight to the zip ties and it will work great. I do recommend it for being cheap, but sturdy for it's price. If your rabbit is a chewer they won't chew through this feeder as quick and is worth replacing when they do. I even use this for a cripple chicken and am pleased at finding a no spill solution for her. We have Silver Fox rabbits, large breed, with two adults in a cage at any given time. This feeder holds enough for my rabbits to not run out of food, spill it, and have food for the full day and more. The waste from my rabbits was serious, the ground under my hutch no longer has mass amounts of feed wasting underneath. Instead I see nothing. If a to pice has fallrn, it is certainly not something I notice each day. … more

  • Gravity feeder

Can be a little difficult to find the right placement in cage. Probably works better with a larger cage. Otherwise it’s a good product

  • Space Saver and Keeps Unhealthy Dust Off Food!

    By on

I bought two of these. One for each of our guinea pig C&C cages. I love the space that it saves! I also love how clean it keeps their food! The lid keeps household dust off their food from the top, and the bottom has a sifter that removes the pellet dust from the bottom. They could improve on the product by making the back snap on bracket a little easier to snap on. They could also make the lid easier to open and close. I keep ours at an angle. I am overall pretty happy with this product.

  • Feeder bin access needs to be larger, front to back.

    By on

I though that this bin would be an improvement over the smaller 20 oz bin, it isn't. The feeder access bin is to small for a mature bunny. The smaller bin is made from a more durable bakelite material. Hay gets stuck in the gravity portion of the feeder, it didn't in the 20 oz feeder.

  • Worked great.

As you know bunnies love to chew on everything, we bought this for feeding her while we were gone for a long weekend. It worked great and we pulled it out of her area as soon as we came back, ready for our next long weekend.

  • Doesn’t fit

    By on

It’s a good little feed dispenser, but the mounting bracket doesn’t fit all types of cages. I had to drill a hole in the back of mine to secure it. Mine isn’t a Kaytee cage.

  • Exactly what I needed

    By on

This is a must when you have guinea pigs. I’m able to fill it up and leave it for a week or two before filling it again. Very durable and the price is the lowest I’ve found

  • Ok for a cheap gravity feeder

    By on

The plastic is cheap and a little warped, so the lid on the top doesn't close perfectly for this reason. This item serves this purpose as a gravity feeder, but there are probably better quality ones available. I would recommend only filling this with pellet feed because the chopped bite-sized timothy hay mostly just gets stuck.

  • Not as described

"Attach to any wired cage". Not any! Going off of the instructions, I could not get this to mount on my piggies cage. I wish I would of returned these!
