Description

Give your pet the benefits of high-fiber alfalfa hay in a convenient cube with Kaytee Alfalfa Cubes Small Animal Food. Small pets including Guinea Pigs, rabbits and chinchillas need hay to aid in the digestion process, keep their teeth trim and satisfy their need to chew. In fact, hay should make up 75 percent of their daily diet. Kaytee Alfalfa Cubes Small Animal Food are tightly compressed blocks of nutritious, sun-cured, sweet alfalfa hay. Alfalfa hay is an excellent appetite stimulant and the compressed cubes provide a more challenging chew than regular bale hay. Your small pet may even stack the cubes to create a nest or bed. Offer several times a day as a treat in addition to their regular hay supply.

I bought this mostly for my baby rabbit Caramel. I occasionally give it as a snack to my older rabbit Oreo. Very high quality and affordable. My only complaint is that a lot of them came destroyed when I got them.

  • Bunny Loves them

    By on

Too much Alfalfa isn't good for an adult bunny, but I give these to my bunny because he is young and he absolutely loves them!! Goes to town on it as soon as I give it to him.

  • Great treat for bunnies

    By on

I have 2 bunnies and they love to fight over these. It doesn’t matter how many I give them, they always fight over them. It’s so funny! Definitely one of their favorites.

  • Bunny isn’t interested in it anymore

    By on

I purchased a few this time since my bunny usually eats these up fairly quickly. However this time around he’s not too interested. It’s been a while since I ordered these (4 pks) and I still have 2 unopened packages just sitting around. I know he’ll come around so I’m not complaining. I know he’ll eat it when he’s ready

  • My Bunnies love these

    By on

I have been giving these to my rabbits for some time now, and they really love them! My rabbits are big, Molly is over 8 lbs; but I think these would be fine for smaller critters as well. Just keep an eye on it in case it gets wet/yucky. Also, I only give them about once a week, and give Timothy hay other days. I like that they are hard and help satisfy the rabbits need to chew.

My daughter has 3 rabbits, all the same breed, (lion heads) and 2 out of the 3 didnt eat any of the alfalfa cube, i also provide them with fresh timothy hay so maybe they just liked that better? it arrived on time and was fresh, just guess rabbits have preferences like all animals

  • Preggo Sow & Hungry Pups

    By on

My sow loved nibbling on these when she was nursing her first litter. I'd hand one to her while she tended to her pups and she would knaw on it. As her pups became more active, I'd put an extra one in the cage for them to knaw on as well. They loved it just as much!

  • Much Easier Than Loose Hay

    By on

I couldn't take the mess and hassle of loose hay anymore. I just use these. And she loves them.

  • Prefers the Timothy

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I usually feed my 8yr old bun the Timothy cubes, I wanted to try these for extra calories even though alfalfa is discouraged as a main hay. Well, she hates them. They are very hard, more like a rock. Won't get these again, but she loves the Timothy version.

  • not good!!!

    By on

My bunny doesn't like these at all. He Always ends up destroying it leaving a huge pile of hay on the floor, none of it eaten. I though these would be convenient, because normal hay is so messy and such a hassle, but I never find a time when I want to use these.
