Will it be ok if they actually eat or swallow some of the pieces of wood?

With their teeth constantly growing throughout their lifetime, daily chewing activities to wear the teeth down is a necessity for Guinea pigs. This toy is specifically made with materials that are safe for Guinea pigs to chew on however, if you feel your pet is ingesting pieces, discontinue use.
