The day I brought Scrabble home, I had this hanging in her cage. The first thing she went for was this and started chewing. I have many chews but this seems to be her favorite.
These products always seem to be hit or miss. My late hamster didn’t like these. My current rodents aren’t big fans either. One of them will chew this occasionally, but it’s been chewed on so little that it almost still looks new. I also know that they claim the dyes are safe, but there are so many wonderful products out there now and I’ve honestly gotten away from the dyed ones. All natural untreated wood gives me more peace of mind. The product itself is made well, seems to be sturdy and looks like fun. Just because none of my littles have liked it doesn’t mean it’s a bad product. Even my most extreme chewers though don’t chew it. I’ve heard you can use the TINIEST amount of peanut butter and spread it across some of the pieces ever so lightly to encourage chewing, but I’m not the biggest fan of that idea, especially since there are other products that work better for us. I don’t think I’ll be buying this product again, but for the price I do recommend you try it at least once.
It’s a great toy for teething!!! It’s a toy that dose not come apart which is better then others with a lot of string or yarn. He loves his toy. Hangs nicely in his home!!
I got this for my hamster a few years ago and he was not a fan. Of course he wasn’t really fan of anything and had mood swings like a thirteen year old so it’s probably not completely the product’s fault but still waste of money.
My winter white hamster took to this immediately. He chews one piece of wood at a time and then the next wood piece will fall down for him to chew on. It’s definitely his favorite chew so far, and you can’t beat the price. It has so far lasted us a week and a half and might give out in another week, so definitely stock up on these
My hamster loves her new toy. Fast shipping good price
Hamster started chewing on it as soon as we put it in the cage.
My dwarf hamster started using her chew right after I added it to her habitat. She seems to enjoy it and it holds up well enough to her chewing without being too hard to gnaw. The hook at the top of the chew gives you options of where to hang it; for example, from both the ceiling down to a platform or from the sides of the cage down to the floor. If you have a shorter pet like mine, the chew is long enough that its easy to place somewhere they can reach.
It does look cute. My hamster doesn’t play with it or chew it. Kinda pointless.
My hamster chewed this up in one night, when I was hoping it’d last. Luckily it’s cheap to replace but annoying to have to buy over and over again once a week or so. If you don’t want to have to do that I wouldn’t recommend but luckily she loved it.
