I bought these as well as the Frisco starter set, the latter of which I was testing before gifting. My Kenchii shears are reasonably lightweight compared to the Frisco which are heavy. They both cut well. The Kenchii are extremely easy to work with, but if I didn't have the money. I would say the Frisco starter set is a pretty good deal (except for the Frisco thinning shears,, which are awful). I'm very happy I purchased the Kenchii for myself: however, I would have probably been delighted to save the money and get the Frisco set instead if I didn't spring for the Kenchii. The entire Frisco set is less than one pair of Kenchi scissors.
