Super cute, but none of my cats used this

Unfortunately, this just sits in a corner collecting dust. So disappointing, because my cats are obsessed with cardboard and this is made out of cardboard, but

Unfortunately, this just sits in a corner collecting dust. So disappointing, because my cats are obsessed with cardboard and this is made out of cardboard, but they don’t even look at it. I poured catnip on it (which went through the cracks and all over the floor), but they still wanted nothing to do with it. I’m going to keep trying to take them over there because I want them to love it, but no luck in the few weeks that I’ve had it. :(

One of my cats prefers vertical scratchers and the other, who is a little bit awkward, likes horizontal scratchers. I’d been trying different shapes and this is the clear winner for Cat #2. She used it right away and has continued to use it for three months now. The rainbow shape is great because it doesn’t lift off the ground no matter where she sits or scratches on it, unlike her rectangle and wave shaped ones. I think she feels more stable on this one which is why it’s her favorite. Cute, sturdy, and most importantly cat approved!
