I have been using this a couple weeks, not quite long enough to know exactly how it performs. But the horses love it for sure. It seems to have made my Thoroughbred more ‘hot’ while getting this feed. She is not on the full ration as indicated for a race or performance horse. But it has made a noticeable differance in her energy level. And it does seem that her and my Quarter Horses coat is a bit more shiny. The grain itself looks a lot like dog kibble, and seems the horses really enjoy it, they practically dive on me for this particular feed. It is not sticky or full of molasses, which is nice for those that can’t have the added sugar. Overall, it seems the feed is a good one, if you are able to afford it for how much the horses need to actually consume to get all of its benefits vs size of the bag contents.
My horse and donkeys love it.

I bought this because it said it was low sugar. It’s not at all what I was expecting, but my horse likes it. We’ve even been feeding it to the donkeys. We aren’t on a full ration, just been mixing it slowly with our regular feed. It looks like dog kibble, but doesn’t seem to get as powdery. My donkeys love it and we like that it’s low sugar.

You can tell that this company is serious about making high quality food for horses. I picked this formula because it's low in sugar but my horse is not a racehorse or high performance animal so I don’t give him the suggested ration. The feed is more of a dog food type shape so I didn’t know if he would like it, but mixed with his regular pellets was fine, and he seemed to enjoy it. It's good quality but a little more expensive than I would like.
Interesting horse feed
I'm pleased with this product but probably won't use it again. First its from Australia or a new Zealand and nutrition information was hard to find. I requested
I'm pleased with this product but probably won't use it again. First its from Australia or a new Zealand and nutrition information was hard to find. I requested it because it said low sugar... And was surprised when it came that it's a racing formula. My horse is definitely not a racehorse.. but I feed approximately a cup a day. He likes it.. and that seems to be all that matters. I do need to put a little weight on him so this may help with that.
My horse loves this food!
So we started our older mare, Appey, on this new product. She ate half and then walked away. Hmmm. Thought she didn’t like it but a little bit later she came back
So we started our older mare, Appey, on this new product. She ate half and then walked away. Hmmm. Thought she didn’t like it but a little bit later she came back and finished it all. Now she goes right to her bucket and devours her food. Really seems to love it. She is very picky.

My horses went crazy for this feed! It has a mild banana scent and the shaped pieces are flat round circles…. Very different from anything I’ve ever fed before and I’ll definitely be buying more to fully switch them over and see how they look. After just the first bag I’m already quite impressed!
Looks good enough to eat...unless you are a horse

This horse feed look and smells good; there is no dust or crumbles. I was excited to feed it to the horses, but the horses won't eat it; one horse is a picky eater and the other two are not. Additionally, it comes in a 39lb bag and is very expensive per pound.

Low sugar feed was loved by 2 of the 3 horses and was a great addition to their regime. The third horse has an extreme sweet tooth and turned up his nose - not the fault of the feed - just a very spoiled retired baby. We have passed the word (ran out of samples) around the neighborhood.
Looks funny, smells great, horses like it
This food looks like dog food but smells like treats, but our horses love it. With only one bag, it is hard to say if it helped at all with performance.
