super disappointed
I bought a second one or these recently as my cat LOVED the first one she had for nearly a year until the middle two wires apparently broke and jutted out. I threw it out as I felt it wasn’t safe for her to be on anymore. Imagine my disappointment when my new one arrived this afternoon and I sat down to put it together only to find the middle wires jutted out at the time of unboxing the tower JUST like what happened to my first one. I’ve tried to fix it but like the first one - it’s nearly impossible because you can’t see those wires as they are embedded in the fabric.
Reggie’s Favorite!
My cat, Reggie LOVES this because the soft platforms and the top one is perfect for getting pets, especially when moved closed to the desk when my husband works from home! Easy to assemble and very portable, of course!
loved, until
This was great initially, my cat loved sleeping on and in it. However after only a few Mo the one of the wire rounds of the frame snapped inside and now it is too unstable. My cat is only 8.3 pounds and it didn’t have heavy use. I would say try something else, I was bummed at the poor construction.
Mine was broken
This design is really cute, but mine arrived with one of the circular levels was broken so it was tear drop shaped, not circular. Chewy sent me a replacement and it had the same problem. I am returning the original and the replacement to Chewy.
Overall great for kitty playtime. I have two kittens who are 11 months old and they love to play on this exactly as intended (climbing the levels, jumping on each other, batting each other through the openings, etc). I will say that while it holds the kittens well (the heavier one is 8-9 lbs) for heavier cats a) there will be some sag of the flat inner levels and b) it might tip over if they jump directly from the floor to the top level. Otherwise it's pretty stable and it's a nice easily movable alternative to the heavier wooden climbing trees. It takes up a lot less floor space too.
Best travel cat tree ever!
We travel extensively via Airbnb and have searching for a travel cat tree for a while. This is PERFECT. It's sturdy, well designed, and folds flat for travel. Our 12-pound kitty adores it, from sitting on top and looking out the window to snuggling up in the cave and playing hide-and-seek. If you travel with your cat, get this!
Cats love it, however...
The cats love it and often lay on the top or inside the bottom level. However, the support ring for the second came loose and is danger of poking through the fabric. I had to wrap a strap around the ring to reinforce it and keeping it from tearing through.
Excellent for human on cat play
This thing is awesome. Not worth the full price but definitely worth a heavily discounted price. If you are like me and are very involved in rough play, as in letting your cat bite your hand, the holes on the lower level provide an excellent stimulation.
Our Stormy Loves It
OK, we bought this tower back in May, it is now November. I wasn't going to write a review but thought I should because I may be ordering a second tower. Our Stormy LOVES this tower!!! He naps on the top all the time and loves crawling and playing in and out of the holes. However, after 6 months of hard use, it has started to wobble. It doesn't seem to deter him though from still jumping on the top (he's become quite good at balancing himself with the wobble). The reason we may be ordering a second tower is because we are taking the boys (our two kitties) on vacation with us over Christmas and this tower will be disassembled and going with us. We will be taking it apart ahead of time to make sure we can get it back together, and if we can't, a second one will be in the books before we leave!!! Storm must have his tower!!
Kitty Tower of FUN!
Easy to assemble, but sat untouched by kittens for a couple of days. Even tried sprinkling catnip on it. Then I moved it to a different part of the room. What a difference that made. Now my 3 foster kittens are in it, playing like crazy, several times a day. I add toys to the different levels for added fun. I like that I can disassemble it and store it flat later. I would give it 5 stars if the pads could be removed and washed.
