Can you put a blanket or coat pad on top of the self-warming cot cover and it still warm your pet the same?

This pet cot cover has a self-warming center traps your pet’s body heat and reflects it back to them naturally and without electricity. If you were to place a blanket over top, it may interfere with that process.
My dog is a outside dog that doesnt like his igloo, will this keep my dog warm enough outside in the garage?
