I cover my bird at night. Will the heater catch on fire if to close to it?

While it is not adjustable, the Snuggle Up Bird Warmer is thermostatically controlled to help maintain a bird’s ideal body temperature.

How long is the cord. Can you an extention if necessary

This product features a 6.5-foot power cord. It's not recommended to use an extension cord with this product. MET Safety Laboratories suggests that an extension cord should not be a permanent fixture, and should only be a temporary solution when using any electrical product.

New design

Nice and warm for our bird who plucks, like the idea of usb plug in. Bought a power strip with usb outlet and the plugin area of usb is a bit warm for my liking

Nice and warm for our bird who plucks, like the idea of usb plug in. Bought a power strip with usb outlet and the plugin area of usb is a bit warm for my liking. I have another usb outlet that maybe gives out more amps and is not as warm. Something is not quite right when your plug is getting warm and no instructions included to tell you what amps your usb should be. Otherwise the bird accepted it fairly fast and we have one in her sleep cage also and she definitely cozy’s up to it during the night and I hear petting it with her beak sometimes.

Our cockateil was getting cold at night and a warming light was keeping him up. So we got this, and it works really well! When we put him in the cage he goes right to his warming buddy. I will say we had some difficulties getting it going at first. The device didn't seem to like any of the charging bricks we where using. But seemed to like being directly plugged into an extention cord, so it worked in the end.

Needs a cube or USB

Works well for my birds. I have parakeets in a large cage in front of a sunny window in an old drafty house. However, what was not clear was that you need to plug

Works well for my birds. I have parakeets in a large cage in front of a sunny window in an old drafty house. However, what was not clear was that you need to plug it into a USB or a cube with a USB slot and plug that into the wall. I have the smaller size heater in my cage that I purchased last year and that just plugs into a regular electrical outlet. I double checked the product description and there is nothing about the USB that I could find. Not a big deal-just a surprise. It’s also orange-not the gray/beige color shown in the pictures.

Large size/orange one doesn't work at all

I have an old gray small one with an actual plug and it works great. I bought the bigger size here and it doesn't have an plug - you supply the usb outlet and plug

I have an old gray small one with an actual plug and it works great. I bought the bigger size here and it doesn't have an plug - you supply the usb outlet and plug it in that way. It doesn't heat up at all. The orange panel is not even slightly warm. The USB plug is very hot though. I tried 3 different usb plugs and none changed the behavior. I'm going to return this is does not do anything.

Small birdcage heater

It’s very small. And it puts out barely any warmth at all! And the color is bright orange! I have a parakeet he would not go anywhere near that corner of the cage

Flame loves his new heater!!

His old one apparently wore out and Flame let us KNOW! Michigan can be COLD and his cage has12 window so he can watch deer, birds and squirrels but not nice at

This heater will provide warm heat, not hot. My girl sits beside the perch with the bird warmer 90% of the day. We leave it plugged in all year long and have a fleece buddy tied across the face of it. So her favorite spot is both snuggly and warm. (I had a different brand of warmer attached to a wall directly behind my bird's cage. It got so hot that it caused the blanket I had covered the cage with to start to smoke. I was home and caught it before the smoke killed my babies. Besides throwing out that heater, another take-away from that night was to only use natural fibers as a bird cage cover.)
