Definitely choose another product
It's very soft. That's the only positive. The "heated pad" inside of the fabric zip-up mat is about half the size of the mat, so there's a lot of surface area for the mat that goes unheated. There is no temperature control and it definitely does not get warm enough. There is no timer (at least that is obvious to me) so you have to manually unplug with each use. It's just not a good product. You're better off finding something else.
Our senior Yorkie loves this mat
Our 11 year old Yorkie loves this mat. I just put it in her bed and she naps off and on all day. Great product!!
Used daily
I have a senior cat and a short-coat dog. I wasn't sure which animal would love this pad most, but I knew it would be used. The winner was the cat. No more wondering where the cat is. She is always found on the warming mat. I have recommended it to several people, and I am considering getting a second one for the dog.

This bed is like a drug to her. She was shivering a lot so I bought this for her. She has many beds around the house but now she only uses this one. No more shivering. It doesn't get too hot, just warm. I am thinking of buying 2 more to put in different rooms
Love this and so do may cats
I bought this for my 18 year old cat. His fur has thinned with and so I work about him being cold. The other cats love it too. I'm very pleased with it. I also bought him 2 sweaters.
Misleading
The heating pad is only 1/4 maybe 1/3 the size of the cover so only a small portion of the pad actually heats up. Very dissapointing.
Old version better
Have used many of these. This one does not get as warm as the older ones I have used. Both cat and dogs are not satisfied. Minimal warmth produced.
Great and safe for cat and dog
only turns on when weight is on the pad, cat and dog love it in the winter
