Melted my bucket

I bought this heater about a week ago for my goats' water bucket. This afternoon I smelled something burning and found the heater had melted through the plastic cage and also melted a hole in my heavy duty water bucket. Very disappointed but would be willing to try it again if I was given a replacement.

Every year, we've struggled to keep our chickens watered in winter. The farm supply de-icers tend to be fussy and need a ground wire. This one costs less and all it needed was to be plugged into the outlet. I don't have to worry about anything besides keeping the clucker's water tub full. A big relief with a week plus of single digit temps!
