Kincade Leather Rope Horse Headcollar, Navy/Brown, Warmblood

I had this halter for 2 years and loved it. Finally broke, which is fine. Got 2 years out of it. Bought this new one, turned my horse out in the pasture for an hour. I was out doing chores and heard no commotion, went to get him and the halter is hanging around his neck. The noseband was completely blown apart in the middle and detached. I can’t even fathom what could have happened, but it didn’t breakaway at a breakaway spot or anything to suggest he got caught. Literally nothing left of the middle of the noseband. Definitely don’t recommend this anymore as it shouldn’t have happened, and I’m sad as I loved my first one.

Nice alternative to old style nylon halters. Lightweight, stands out in case it gets misplaced.

I was going to order the cob size anyway because I think of him as kind of dainty, when I read the halter runs “huge” I was worried it would still be too big. Now that I have it, I feel it runs a little big but not huge; it fits him well on the largest settings. Another cob halter I ordered him was too small, so I think he’s also less dainty than I thought, and this halter still fits well.
