Amount of food consumed will vary based on activity level, age, breed and environment.

Puppies: Puppies may start nibbling Kinetic performance dog food at around 4 - 5 weeks of age. You may feed it dry but moistening may improve acceptance. Self - feeding may be started at any time after weaning. If puppies are on a feeding schedule rather than self - feeding, feed them 3 times daily for the first 6 months and 2 times per day thereafter. Puppies may be fed up to 2 - 3 times the amount of food in the Adult Feeding Recommendation depending on age and body condition.

Pregnant Females: Using the Suggested Feeding plan, offer 50% more food than the recommended feeding amount.

Lactating Females: Using the Suggested Feeding plan, offer 2 - 3 times the recommended feeding amount.

Kinetic is an excellent food for non - sporting dogs provided you choose the appropriate formula. Kinetic Active 26K is an excellent all - purpose formula for companion dogs provided they’re not overfed. The performance nutrition provides the same health benefits to your house dog as it does for sporting dogs.

Not in our opinion. Unlike chicken meal, whole chicken is approximately 85% water and requires another meat protein source immediately after it on the ingredient list to ensure adequate meat protein. Chicken meals contain almost no moisture to ensure your dog gets more meat and less water.

Chicken by - product meal is 1 of 4 animal protein sources we put in Kinetic. The reason we put it in is, quite simply, we tested formulas both with and without chicken by - product meal and dogs did better on the formulas that included chicken by - product meal. While some by - products can be poor quality, our chicken by - product meal is an excellent source of protein for dogs and a natural source of glucosamine.

Kinetic is made with only high quality Menhaden Fish Meal.

Kinetic has both DHA and Glucosamine in it that are derived from natural sources. We do not add artificially sourced supplements of these ingredients in any of our formulas.

All our ingredients are from the US with the exception of certain vitamins and minerals that cannot be sourced inside the US.

Kinetic formulas include prebiotics to enhance digestive health but do not include active culture probiotics because they generally do not survive the manufacturing process.

One measuring cup per day for every 20 lbs of body weight is a good starting point. From there, we recommending adjusting the feeding amount based on the body condition of your dog.

If you’re moving from 1 Kinetic formula to another you can switch immediately with no adverse effects. For other foods, we recommend mixing progressively smaller quantities of the current food with the larger quantities of Kinetic over a period of 10 days until the dog is completely on Kinetic.
