Shiny coats and happy tummies.
After fish oil started upsetting my sensitive Yorkie's tummy, and after much research, I began supplementing my long-coated dogs with coconut oil instead. Not only is coconut oil supposed to improve the skin and coat, but also help with digestion, inflammation, cognition, and even breath. They absolutely go crazy for the taste and lick it right off a spoon. My tiny pups (5-pounds) only get about 1/4 teaspoon per day, but even the most sensitive tummies tolerate it well. This Kin+Kind is a smaller jar and more expensive than other coconut oils I've used, but the higher quality is noticeable.
Love this stuff
This product is awesome! My dog had really coarse hair and itching skin. Her coat is so shiny now and itching to a minimal! Plus all my dogs love the taste!
Great product, except seemingly hard to ship...
To be fair on this review, my dog loves coconut oil and enjoyed this product. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is simply because of the shipping experience. The product arrived oozing oil all of the packaging. I'm not sure if it melted in transit, but by the time I cleaned everything up, I only had about 1/2 the jar.
It's also cold pressed!
I'm not sure why but extra virgin and cold compressed aren't on the label of the 16 ounce jar. Extra virgin is easy to find but organic "and" cold pressed not so much. It's not a necessity but our dogs love it and it's a good single ingredient treat.
Love coconut oil
Raw coconut oil is great for MANY things. Plus all my pets love it.
Works so well
My dogs absolutely love this! I have a great dane mix, a husky mix, and a pitbull and they love this stuff added to their dry dog food. Their coats are looking a lot better and they don't seem to be scratching anymore due to the dry winter air. I especially notice a more silky coat on my pitbull!
Arrived as liquid
This arrived completely as a liquid. I assume it's from heat exposure while shipping. We'll see if it turns back to a solid and how the dogs end up liking it.
Yea Coconut Oil!!!
This oil is great for dogs coats and an excellent natural additive for meals. They love the flavor and eat all their food and lick the bowl clean!!!
