This is a fan favorite in our household. I love the fact that this food provides quality meats and high hydration. One of my boys had a urinary blockage that required emergency care. Since then I’ve been especially mindful of the quality of proteins & hydration in their diet. Reading the labels of the exorbitantly priced Rx food demonstrates a high price with low quality meats/proteins. For the amount they charge, I would expect tuna to be the first ingredient not the third after pork and meat by-product. With hydration & quality proteins being key in urinary health, I would rather pay a higher price for a quality hydrating food as opposed to a low quality one labeled as “prescription.”

My cat, his name is Pepper, is a domestic short hair, all black with a dot of white on his chest, 2 years old, absolutely loved Koha Poke Bowl Tuna and Beef Entree in Gravy. He loves tuna and the beef was a bonus and all i can say is sparks were flying when i feed him this food in the mornings. I always gave him dry food in the morning but now he looks forward to his Koha Poke Bowl with just a sprinkle of dry food on the side.

The vibrant red of the package was the first thing I noticed. It was very pleasing to the eye and only helped me be excited more for the product itself. I noticed it was very moist which is really important for my cats. There were lots of savory bits for everyone to enjoy which they did, tremendously. I have some fairly picky cats and these guys loved this stuff, so it's obviously very palatable. I know its better when the foods are pungent, but I think that's the main drawback here. It smelled up my kitchen for a long time, which in the cat world is a beautiful thing. I am definitely excited to try some of the different flavors they offer.

I love the product for its ingredients and hydration. It's a healthy choice and wet food is what I prefer to give my cats (although they eat both wet and dry). Although

I love the product for its ingredients and hydration. It's a healthy choice and wet food is what I prefer to give my cats (although they eat both wet and dry). Although the combination of tuna and beef was a hit with my previous cats (both of whom have crossed the rainbow bridge), my current 2 cats weren't that interested in this food. I have an 8 year old picky female who only eats specific food, and a male kitten who did eat a little of this food but wasn't wild about it. I tried it with the chonky neighbor's cat who wasn't eating anything while his owner was away, and he didn't want it either, but hard to say whether he might eat it if a stranger wasn't feeding him. All in all, I think this food is healthy and looks great to me, but it's going to depend on the specific tastes of your cats. For example, mine will never eat salmon but they like tuna and oceanfish. My previous cats loved beef and my current cats don't like beef. Cats will be cats.

Love the ingredients and the packaging! This is so much better than dealing with cans. The box opens easily and fits perfectly into the pantry while not looking tacky. It’s easy to just grab a pack and go. My cats have been going crazy for it too! It doesn’t smell like some of the overly pungent wet goods that I’ve tried which I was worried about with the tuna, but it’s not bad at all! Just like all wet food, you do need to refrigerate it if you’re not feeding it after opening, but the packaging makes it much better for discreetly putting in the fridge. I’m obsessed with the ingredient list too. It’s not a bunch of fillers. It’s actual, quality ingredients which makes a huge difference. So far my most sensitive cat has even been thriving on it which I entirely credit to the quality ingredients.

My old cat tends to be picky, and I wasn't sure how this food would go over with him. First, I love that the pouches are easier to open than most similar style foods. Not sure how they did that, but I have yet to get any on myself when opening, like I tend to do with others. Second, nice little crumbs/chunks of tuna and beef are visible with a lot of rich gravy. The bits of tuna were small enough that my old guy could eat them, the beef slightly larger for my younger cat to come by and clean up for him when he was finished. All in all, it was a hit!

I received the Koha Poke Bowl, tuna and beef flavor, as part of the Pawsabilities program. I was excited to try this new wet food for my 4-year old female cat as the ingredients are amazing, and she would be getting additional hydration. Unfortunately, my girl disagreed with my choice -- she licked the juice & left all the food pieces in her bowl. I tried five bags and each time she did the same thing. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to try the Poke Bowls for your cat -- mine is obviously a very picky eater!!
