How big is the hole on each size?

Answer by ChewyApr 08, 2019
The hole in the small size toy is 3/4 of an inch in diameter, and the hole in the large size toy is 7/8 of an inch in diameter.

is the outer red ring made of the same rubber material that the other Kong toys are made of?

Answer by ChewyNov 14, 2018
The red ring is made from hard plastic and the blue is thinner plastic. Neither the red ring nor the blue ball is made of the traditional Kong rubber.

How much food can fit inside each size?

Answer by ChewyAug 22, 2019
The amount of food or treats that fit within each toy will vary based on the size of the kibble or treat.

So does the dog roll the whole gyro toy to play and dispense treats or can the treats be dispensed by just moving the ball making it useless to a dog who is too smart for IQ treat ball dispensers because he figures out the most effective patterns to release treats?

Answer by ChewyJun 14, 2020
This toy will require rolling of both the ball and the outer ring in order to dispense the treats.

Better for non chewers

The concept of this toy is great, but for aggressive chewers or dogs that toss their toys, skip this one. If your dog is a normal dog and not a beaver then sure,

The concept of this toy is great, but for aggressive chewers or dogs that toss their toys, skip this one. If your dog is a normal dog and not a beaver then sure, they will likely enjoy this. Ours LOVED it for the 15 minuets he had it until he broke the ball out of the center then destroyed the ring. NOT intended as a chew toy.

Too easy to open

The ball doesn’t spin very easily in the case so it’s pretty much just being able to flip it exactly the same way over and over again, still engaging but not exactly

The ball doesn’t spin very easily in the case so it’s pretty much just being able to flip it exactly the same way over and over again, still engaging but not exactly as challenging as I’d hoped. My dog also figured out how to unscrew/pop the lid off within a few minutes of me giving it to him, he doesn’t always manage it but it seems pretty easy.

I use it every day!

I would not recommend this if you have a super chewer, as my dog is not a big chewer and has already dented the plastic. However he is 55 pounds. I am on my second one (had to switch sizes because my dog’s diet worked!) and have been using this product almost daily for 2 years. My favorite part is I can fill it in under a minute, whereas a lot of other slow feeders I have used take just as long to fill as my dog uses it. I have 7 slow feeder toys from various brands and this one is by far my favorite. As long as your dog is not a super chewer I would recommend!

Easy to use, fill, wash

Our 40# mixed breed puppy loves it. We have several food toys to keep her mind busy. I like this one a lot because she sometimes doesn’t want to eat right away

Our 40# mixed breed puppy loves it. We have several food toys to keep her mind busy. I like this one a lot because she sometimes doesn’t want to eat right away. Minimal air exposer to her food makes me feel a lot better about leaving it where she can decide to eat when she’s hungry. Puppy life is busy!

Looked like a fun toy turned out to be dangerous

My puppy played with it for an hour and chewed it up into small pieces which concerned me not sure how many pieces she swallowed so I threw the toy away! Complete

Not King Quality

We have a lot of Kong toys but this one was a surprise, after getting the treats out my Doxie-Pin proceeded to demolish the toy before I could get to her.

Ouch!

It says not to let dog chew outer ring. With a 1 year old lab, that was practically impossible. We took away each time he started, but in the spots where he started

Not ideal for big dogs

It only holds about a cup of food and first time using it my dogs have already put so deep teeth marks in the red ring

Not for aggressive chewing

Gave this to my red heeler mix and in under 5 minutes, she destroyed it. With her normal Kong, she stops once the treats are out. This toy she did not. Glad I was
