What is the rubber material on the leash? I believe it may be latex since I have allergy to latex and my hand continually was breaking out. As soon as I stopped using the leash, my skin cleared up. Thank you.

The rubber material is made from TPR and does not contain latex.

Kong Retractable Leash

The leash works pretty much as advertised however, if you have a dog who does not do well with abrupt noise, this is not for you. I have an English Setter who was trained as a hunter but did not do well with loud noise. Consequently, she's perfect for me because I don't hunt anymore but I enjoy watching her point birds. With this leash however, she will not point and even doesn't want to walk with this on.

good but not for puppies

My puppy chewed through the rope within 2 weeks of having this. Pretty much just money down the drain. Would not recommend for puppies or big dogs as the leash is not very durable

Dissapointing

While I like that the handle is large enough to comfortably use with gloves on, the rewind spring is so weak, there is often too much slack in the leash, making it too easy to get tangled.

more freedom

awesome lanyard, more freedom and secure feeling! different brake and lock from my previous, but ill get use to it! definitely recommend this!!

Definitely worth the money !!!!

My baby girl Amaya which isn’t really a baby lol. Loves to run a lot on her leash and this 25ft leash helps her let loose. Also it’s so durable it won’t break when Amaya takes off running. Not just that but I have had leashes in the past to where they won’t even retract. This leash is so smooth I definitely recommend this to anyone. The only thing wrong with the leash is that when I brought Amaya to the beach it fell in the sand and messed up how fast it retracts. Other than that I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Great leash

This is the 3rd one I have. Bought it just in case one of the others gets misplaced (looking for a leash is very worrisome for me). Well manufactured and strong.

quite heavy

i suppose if you had a huge dog that pulled you, you would need this heavy duty leash. I do not. It is really heavy to carry. I returned it and got a smaller version

worst leash I had

I purchased this thinking that this is the best-of-the-best product, at least it was marketed this way. I was also under impression that this had a lifetime warranty. Bought for a 65lb husky. For the first month I was very happy with the quality and craftsmanship, I figured that even if it broke 6 months later - I'd get a replacement and that just scored a best deal. On the second month of ownership it started failing: does not retracts past 6 ft mark, does not holds without dragging for a foot or two. In less than 3 months of ownership item is unusable, and I just learned that there is no warranty of any kind. so I'm 30 dollars down the drain. Will not buy any product from KONG. Strongly do not recommend, go with the other competitor brand: for 15-20 more will buy a retractable that actually has warranty behind it.
