  • Senior dog toy Kong

    By on

I ordered two of the senior dog kong toys I have a Maltese and an older chihuahua My chihuahua Ginger had one when she was younger, and loved it, she can play and roll this senior Kong all around the house like she did in her younger days. Sometimes she even gets the Maltese's (Lulu) senior toy. She plays with it every day.

  • great for older pups having a hard time chewing

I have a 12 year old Dachshund who has bad plaque build up on her teeth, and we could not get her to chew any thing any more... Until we stuffed a few treats in to this little gem, and she spent about an hour chewing and licking the treat out!

  • Softer kong

    By on

I buy these senior Kongs for my 10yr Old Shelties. He is missing some lower back teeth and I think these are softer for him to chew on. I just bought a new supply of them. The old ones lasted about 2 yrs, then started to crack.

  • Perfect for my picky pup

    By on

When we got our fur baby we originally bought her a puppy kong. As she grew up we bought her an original kong but she still loved her puppy one more because it was softer. She is only a 2 years old lab but I bought this for her for Christmas and she is obsessed with it. It is the perfect chew texture for her! She picks it over all the other toys and she looks for it even if the other two Kong’s are in plain sight now. Keep in mind, she is a light chewer, not the typical lab that can be hard on toys, when she is feeling destructive she chews her bones, not the Kong’s or other toys.

  • Great for stuffing !

    By on

I have a 90lb Labrador who is always starving ! I mix peanut butter and pumpkin and stuff the Kong's then freeze. The medium size is perfect for getting dogs tounge all the way to the bottom. The dog can't get all the way down larger sizes and leaves a mess, and smaller ones oppening is too small ! My dog is not a big chewer. The Kong is easy to clean as I can get my fingers all the way to the bottom. Don't leave the kong soaking in water as it causes the rubber to get and stay slimey.

  • My old gals favorite

    By on

My pitbull will be 14 in April and she has been using her chew toys less and less so I figured it was time to try the senior kongs. I down graded her to a red one at age 9. Now this one she's back to using her chew toy! We are both very satisfied, except when her brother (2yr old lab) decides he wants to borrow it without permission. This is still very durable and my lab doesn't destroy it on her.

  • Perfect for my senior boxer!

I had bought this for our 11 year old boxer who has lost most of his front teeth. I smear some of his wet food in it & he goes to town. He loves it!

  • Little hesitant, pleasantly surprised

    By on Top 50 Contributor

I have a 10 year old, rescued chihuahua who has no teeth due to his rough past. Whenever I come across something that he may enjoy, I get it. I got this senior Kong to fill with the Kong peanut butter flavor filler. I figured this would be good for him to try. He could use his tongue to get the peanut butter and the gentle rubber would keep his gums stimulated for good blood flow. So far he's been a little nervous but has enjoyed trying to retrieve the peanut butter. Even a little use makes me happy to see

  • Boredom Fix

    By on

We use this as a treat for when we will be leaving Cleo alonel She is not quite 2 yet and is a mix breed but primarily German Shepherd. The reason I got the Senior Kong is because she is not a chewer. I had to google how to use these. I found several opinions. When filling I put the treats in first, then some of her food, then seal it with peanut butter and place in the freezer until we need. We purchased 4 so we always have plenty on hand. Recommended!
