Kordon Rid Ich Plus, the instructions say to use once every 24 hours, but it does not say for how many days or weeks to use it for. How many days or weeks should we use it?
Answer by ChewySep 03, 2020
Treatments may be repeated as often as every 6-12 hours (depending upon the severity of the particular disease and the tolerance of the diseased fishes). Treatment should be repeated no less than every 24 hours and continued for at least 3 days beyond the disappearance of all signs of disease. The main problem is in knowing when all white spots are gone from inside the mouth, gills, and nostrils of the fish. Typical treatments for Ich will depend upon the species of Ich involved, and may require six to 35 days or more in daily treatments. This means that daily partial water changes will need to be made followed by daily re-dosing of Rid-Ich+ until the infection is entirely gone.

NOT SAFE for snails/invertebrate

Luckily I read the bottle thoroughly before adding, it should really have more warnings and in larger text. Would have been really sad to lose my snails and possibly loaches.

Ich is gone!

I followed the instructions and proceeded to treat the tank for ich that appeared on my gourami. The spots were gone after a day, and two weeks later show no signs of reappearing.

Brook trout cured

My brook trout got ich when the water temp rose to 68 degrees and they ate a bunch of infected bait fish. I bought two 16oz bottles of rid ich and lowered the water temp to 55 deg. I provided the product in accordance with instructions but only did a 15% water change. I have a 160 gallon tank... i provided 32 oz’s of the rid ich over the coarse of about to 10 days which was about 1 ich cycle. My fish cleared up and are as heathy as can be! I couldn't be more happy as i thought they were goners.
