I am fostering a cat who has a low drive to play independently. I tried these out because he likes "hunting" his feather wand and chasing and batting lightweight foam balls, so I thought this might be a good toy to keep him engaged when he wants to play/hunt but I have other things to do. He is interested in the "rattling" sound these do and when I throw them he will chase them, but when he "catches" them he loses interest. So this didn't meet my need for a toy that he can play with independently without me to make it interesting to him. It's a little too heavy to roll very far when he bats it, so he loses interest quickly. In terms of quality, the "feather" material is soft and doesn't have any sharp pieces, but it does shed very easily even when it's not being heavily played with.
