So I’ve been getting these for my pup since I first found them about a year ago and he LOVES them! They’re soft, fluffy + smell delicious .. I mean, the way they smell when I open the bag makes me want to eat them! However, the bag in the order I got yesterday isn’t the same.. the cookies are hard + stale feeling and they don’t smell the same at all. I also noticed a white powder-like substance on the outside of the cookies which I don’t think they normally have..the expiration date isn’t until 2/2026 so idk if something changed or is just wrong with this bag but it’s so disappointing.

Rancid

I've been buying these cookies for my dog for years. He gets 1 twice a day with his medications. The last month or so the orders we received have a new product packaging

I've been buying these cookies for my dog for years. He gets 1 twice a day with his medications. The last month or so the orders we received have a new product packaging which is more of a flat plastic bag rather than shiny and the cookies smell rancid and appear to have a white stale-looking appearance. The old cookies smelled delicious like vanilla, had no white stale-looking appearance and did not smell rancid. I reported the lot number, but they were not pulled from the shelf as I received another order with the same lot. I was hoping it was just one lot, but this order had 3 bags. One bag was fine and the other two were rancid and had a different lot number than the ones I previously reported. I also emailed the manufacturer to report this but got no response. I don't know why someone cannot get to the bottom of this problem. The ingredients are the same so there is no explanation for why these new lots with different packaging smell rancid.
