Shallow and thin

It would be great if you are just trying to give your cat a treat. My goal was to slow my cat from eating his dinner so fast and due to the thin and shallowness

Mat is slowing down an inhaler of cat food!

Only thing about it, there are tiny grooves where he is unable to get to all of the food. I do my best to scrape it up for him.

Samwise lives up to his hobbit namesake and would love to eat all day. When it comes to wet food he is always trying to scarf it down. Previous ceramic slow feeders

Samwise lives up to his hobbit namesake and would love to eat all day. When it comes to wet food he is always trying to scarf it down. Previous ceramic slow feeders ended up chipped so we gave this mat a shot and have been very happy with it. It slows his eating enough to give his sister time to eat in peace. I wish it was a little easier to clean - the wet food can really stick to the ridges, but overall we are very happy with it.

Got this mat for wet food and the playdate tuff for dry food awhile back. My kitty scarfs her food too fast and throws it up. Havent had to clean up puke since switching

Our vet suggested trying a slow feeder mat...after perusing all the stuff here I tried this one last month and to my surprise it worked well..our youngest cat would gulp up his wet food in under a minute but with the mat he's taking longer to finish. The larger surface area helps...you can spread out the wet food. It's easy to clean too.
