I bought this primarily for the GPS tracker, and it did not work at all. The app kept sending me alerts my dog was "away" when she was with me. I also sent her on a walk with another person, so I knew she was "away", and then it kept telling me she was "with me." The GPS also kept putting my house 3 blocks from where it actually was. The activity tracker seemed to work, but I was not interested in that.

This device was featured on a CBS morning news show. I researched the device. The activity tracking was okay. But the real interest was to be able to track our larger puppy who, when able, will take off on a run away from our property. The good thing is that until now, he had returned on those occasions. We are diligent about keeping him safe. But doors get opened, even the best of training won't stop a puppy from exploring and we live in a neighborhood adjacent to farm fields and woods and we need to be able to track him if he does happen to get away. I had contacted the company, let the rep know of my need and was assured it was a good fit. It was not. The device did not track our pup accurately. And the battery life was horrible. It was a total waste of money.

I bought a link for my old blind deaf dog, just Incase she ever somehow escaped. Luckily, she never did, because this collar was mostly useless. The first one I had died after a couple months. I contacted link and they sent me another one, which only lasted another couple months and died again. It was charged but wouldn’t show any activity. Huge waste of money
Almost . . . not quite there.

I've had 2 units over the last year or so. For each one, the pins holding the unit to the "gizmo" broke. This is a design flaw that needs correcting. The tracking did work and it did help me find our pet. However, it is worthless if it becomes disengaged (as stated).
They sent me a used Link

When it arrived, I took off the back of the Link to charge it up. It was dirty and had a couple dog hairs on it that were not from my dog. I went ahead and charged it and downloaded the app, but then it said it was already registered to someone else, so the device was locked. I paid a lot of money for this dog tracker. I expected a new one, not a refurbished one. I am sending it back.

This is some really cool technology that allows you to track your pets activity levels. It's pretty accurate for the most part but sometimes the signal fades and comes right back. One thing I like the most is that it helps me stay accountable for getting my pup the right amount of exercise she needs.
Great product!
I was so excited to get my new Link device. The GPS tracking is accurate, within a couple feet, so it's great to know what she's doing even when I'm not around
I was so excited to get my new Link device. The GPS tracking is accurate, within a couple feet, so it's great to know what she's doing even when I'm not around. It updates really quick too! I love the light when we are out at night walking and it's dark, great feature! The battery life last awhile, which is a bonus for me not having to charge it daily. I started using the training tools and she is already responding with the reinforcing clicker tool. The app is easy to use and customer service was very nice and helpful with my questions. Love this device and highly recommend it!

Link is so cool. Our CheeWee (half chihuahua, half weiner dog) is overweight because one of the humans in the house won't stop giving him people food. Link is helping track activity and motivate us to make sure he reaches his step goals every day. I also love the GPS feature - once he slims down it may be possible for him to actually run away from us (lol).
Not for active breeds
This fell off my dogs collar after having it two days. Cell service was spotty in the area so it couldn’t be recovered. Waste of money!

1) Adequate instructions were not provided to make app functional. 2) Even after giving app all necessary permissions, per Link tech's instructions, it would only connect to my home internet but not my phone's Bluetooth. 3) Tracking doesn't work. It tells me where my pet WAS a half hour ago not in real time. 4) none of features worked. I turned on Link's light when we walked. Upon return, the app wouldn't/couldn't turn it off thus the battery life is quickly running down. 5) way overpriced. Save your money. If you need to find your furbaby, it would be cheaper and far less frustrating to stand in a field shaking your pets snack box.
