For some reason, Vetoquinol Nutri-Cal Gel High Calorie Supplement for Cats & Dogs, 4.25-oz tube is unavailable now and again. Chewy recommended this as a supplement, and I suppose it does a good job. It's less expensive, and my senior citizen kitty's Potassium level seems OK when we get it. But it's not what the vet prescribed, so I'd feel uncomfortable giving it to him all the time.

I am so happy i found this! 7 year old lab with severe allergies and epilepsy, his kidneys got so taxed and we had a panic. he’s limited on what he can eat and once i got this in his system within 12 minutes i could see an alertness back into his face. over an hour and he’s back to being me independent. this will be a daily thing to help his kidneys as his seizure meds and allergies always puts strain on his organs. he takes many vitamins to help his body process.

Three weeks later and her incontinence issues are a thing of a the past. We have been and will continue using it just to keep her bladder and kidney health on track.

This helped clear up a persistent UTI in my yorkiepoo. After trying several rounds of different antibiotics. Once I added this with the antibiotic, it finally cleared up her UTI. She didn't even notice it mixed in with her food, which she can be very picky. So it really is unflavored. It says to give half a cap for dogs under 20 pounds, but because of her size I gave her less than half just to be safe.
