Bought this item because I thought it was a great idea and it is a great design but it has major flaws. One I couldn't get the legs to fit in securely and it would continually tip over. Also there is no way t get to the inside to clean it out when it gets algae on it. Too small to get a hand into it and too deep for a regular long handled brush and finally I can't use it in winter as it cant be heated. After many attempts to make it work I just went back to the metal fount.

Water flowing slowly

We have 3 smaller versions of this giant and they don't leak at all. This one slowly allows water down causing dripping. Also, when I go to fill it, the red rubber

We have 3 smaller versions of this giant and they don't leak at all. This one slowly allows water down causing dripping. Also, when I go to fill it, the red rubber ring at bottom doesn't keep the water from flowing out like the others we have. Going to try Silicone o-ring grease on cap oring. When they work, it is the best solution for your birds. Hardly any mess and water for days.

Drains in 2 days

Tried to adjust the gasket at the bottom to control the flow, but we still need to fill it every 2 days. We only have 5 chickens. Pricey and not great.

Never has worked

It’s leaks so bad. I fill it up. Have the bottom price where it goes and it’s doesn’t stay where it should and it leaks all the water out all over the coop. It stopped

Worth the money. I used the gravity cups in a 5 gallon bucket. They constantly break and stay dirty. This is a much better option and I could have bought it

Worth the money. I used the gravity cups in a 5 gallon bucket. They constantly break and stay dirty. This is a much better option and I could have bought it several times with the money I spent on replacing cups. Saves me time with the amount of water it holds. Water is cleaner because they cannot poo in it. Less water wasted as well. Very happy with the purchase.

Hit or Miss

I ordered two of these waterers at the same time. They’re a great size for my larger home flock. One works perfectly, although it does get a bit mossy as others

I ordered two of these waterers at the same time. They’re a great size for my larger home flock. One works perfectly, although it does get a bit mossy as others have mentioned. So far, it’s been easy to spray out. The second unit has never worked well. It wouldn’t hold water. We first assumed I wasn’t tightening the top enough, then maybe it wasn't level enough, then maybe it was too windy. When I moved the one that worked into the big run, and it continued to work well, we decided to modify the problem unit. We finally taped the main outlet hole and drilled one lower down that was smaller. That’s working better, but not perfectly. I wouldn’t buy this one again, unless I had somewhere local to return or exchange it.
