Finally wore out after years of use.

First off, there are no perfect poultry waterers. That being said, these are best we've found. They are easy to keep clean because they come apart in two big pieces that can be scrubbed with a brush. There are no tight necks to squeeze a brush into. Yes, they leak a little when turning them over after filling and while carrying them but farm work isn't clean. The metal hanger will eventually break through the plastic tabs holding the hanger. Get out your drill, put two holes in the other tabs and reposition the hanger, doubles the life. The red base will finally crack in the center and then it's time to replace the whole waterer since Miller does not sell the base as a separate part. We have three of these in southern California, no freezing temperatures, and they probably lasted 6-7 years.

Easy level check

Easy to fill & carry. A huge plus is being able to see water level so the flock doesn’t run out. Maybe it’s me but the red bottom seems difficult to remove & put

Total waste of $ - won’t provide water

Would’ve given it 1 star but went to 2 because it did at least provide water once. Difficult to open and fill without the whole jug spilling. Nearly impossible to add water without having to dump and fill or spill the whole thing. Most importantly - doesn’t provide water in a way that is consistent or that will remain clean. My poor chickens really went thirsty. Replacing with a proper nipple/cup unit. This is landfill fodder.

Easy to clean

I prefer these over the stainless steel that tend to rust out in the bottom. These tend to get brittle but they at least last several years. You just have to make

I prefer these over the stainless steel that tend to rust out in the bottom. These tend to get brittle but they at least last several years. You just have to make sure the holes line up to let the water into the basin. Mine has just one perfect line up to let just the right amount of water out. Any other holes either don’t let water out or lets too much out and it leaks. It can be a pain to untwist sometimes as well. But overall, still a good product.

Don't buy it

This item is awful! It's constantly leaked water. I should not be filling the water as much as I am.

Nice sixe

Nice size. Confusing because it easy to misalign the holes and then the water doesn't come out. Only one hole in the base.

Doesn't last longer than a few months

Had two different ones of these break a little red tab (which causes it to not work) within 9 months. Can't fool me again.

Wont feed water

I was excited to find a hanging gravity waterer ! Most have flat handles and aren’t designed to be hung. I Alis love the design of the top that prevents the chickens

I was excited to find a hanging gravity waterer ! Most have flat handles and aren’t designed to be hung. I Alis love the design of the top that prevents the chickens from sitting on top and popping all in the water. The base is a super pain to unscrew off and to screw back on so I build a “jig” where u can flip the waterer upside down put the protrusions on the top into the recess opening of the jig and it holds the reservoir from turning so you can easily remove and replace the base. Major design flaw issue averted but my biggest issue is that the sage thing won’t allow water out at all. It works for 2 minutes the. Has to be shaken to release more water. I bought two of these waterers and am very frustrated. Anyone figure out a way to make them work????
