Valve instead of ball?

I have a Lixit water bottle already, but it is hard to clean. I saw this and thought since it can be opened it will be a lot easier to clean. I get them at home

I have a Lixit water bottle already, but it is hard to clean. I saw this and thought since it can be opened it will be a lot easier to clean. I get them at home and it says it has a valve instead of a ball and my pet may need training? I have guinea pigs. There's no instructions anywhere on how to train a guinea pig to drink water. They're cute little potatoes but I can't get them to stop pooping where they sleep let alone how to drink from a complicated water device. Why wouldn't Lixit just use the ball like everyone else does? Like their other products do? What's wrong with them? It's too early to tell whether the piggers are smart enough to figure this out on their own, and if they are I guess I should upgrade the rating. But I came back here to see where I might have missed such a critical piece of information about this water bottle in the description and I don't see it. I may have to see if I can 3d print an adapter or something because I don't want to keep buying more water bottles just to find one that will work well and be easy to clean.
