For the price I expected better. THE COVER: The burlap is a light brown. The cover is thick and well-made. There's a flap covering the zipper and a pocket that the zipper tag goes into. The cover had a strong cardboard/mulch smell. I followed the washing instructions and the smell went away and it did not shrink. I wish it had shrunk because the cover is a bit too big for the bed making it look cheap. THE INSERT: The insert was smushed on one end because of how it was boxed. It hasn't unsmushed. The bed is described as "premium" and "thicker fill" But it isn't very firm and flattens. I'm confounded by the shape. Why does a rectangle bed have an insert with a 5 inch channel all around? You can see the channel through the cover which also makes it look cheap. Despite my critique, if my cats had loved it I would have been happy with it. But they both completely ignore it. I'm giving it two stars because the cover is well-made.

She's usually a couch potato and ignores her old doggie bed which was definitely too small for her, but I thought I'd give this a try. She sniffed, she pawed, she plopped. First it became her pillow, but she made it work as a bed. She loves this thing. I no longer get as many doggie cuddles, but she's quite happy!

This bed is a favorite in my multi dog home. It's comfy and durable. Holds up well to teething puppies and the big old timers.

This LL Bean Denim bed is very nice. The bed itself is comfy and offers good support without being too firm. The soft zip-off denim cover seems tough without being harsh. It's also has a zipper flap and zipper garage for added protection. I haven't had to wash it yet but don't expect any issues there. My little guy weighs 16 lbs and the small fits him well. It's also a great size to throw into the car for when we're on the go.
