From where does Lotus get its fish for the Sardine and Salmon canned recipes? Are they wild caught or farm raised?

Lotus whole Pacific sardines are fished from the Pacific Ocean off of Baja California. The salmon fillets come from farmed-raised salmon from Canada and wild-caught Salmon from the USA. Their sardines and Salmon are also Marine Stewardship Council certified sustainable.

How many cans per day for 40 lb dog?

For dog's weighing 40 pounds, feed approximately 3 1/4 cans per day. The feeding guidelines are based on daily recommendations and should be divided up between feeding times. Doesn't smell like it used to!

I have been feeding this since October 2020. My dogs really liked it and it smelled very much like "stinky" salmon and they would have fishy smelling breath after

I have been feeding this since October 2020. My dogs really liked it and it smelled very much like "stinky" salmon and they would have fishy smelling breath after eating it. Got an order last week and it smelled bad and not like fish. Called Chewy and got a replacement order. It still smells "off" with a sour smell. Tried to contact the manufacturer to see if they changed the recipe but was unsuccessful in contacting them. Sadly I will not be feeding this or buying it again. I will continue to buy the Sardine loaf unless I detect it has an issue, too.

I ordered this food hoping it was the answer to prayers. A good quality yummy salmon food. I could’ wait to feed it to my dogs. I have a toy poodle and a Bichon. Neither one of them would touch it. Both approached their plates and that’s it. They have eaten anything today anc still won’t touch it. The Bichon eats anything and he wouldn’t eat it either. Hope it works for others.
