This outdoor dog kennel is a great size - spacious for the pup and doesn't take up too much room in the yard. The rotating food/water bowls is a great touch so you don't have to duck into the kennel to change them out. I really appreciate the double clasp on the door as it adds extra security (though I could see it being a tad difficult to open for some). Opening the box is daunting, but the bars easily snap into each other, the fencing simply unrolls around a majority of the kennel, and the overall assembly only took about 2.5-3 hours. However, the directions are pretty awful and I am SO glad that I had two qualified people able and willing to put it together. I have no doubt that this kennel would have taken me an entire business day to put together if I had to do it alone. Unfortunately, the materials/tools are on the "cheaper" side and the roof was missing an eyelet but once the kennel was all put together, it was pretty sturdy. If you have the experience, time, and patience to put this kennel together, it's a good choice.

We do have to do some tweaking to add more ties, better anchors, and the dishes, but essentially it is done. It will work fine for my intended purpose, but I would never leave a dog in it for an extended period of time. I don't feel it is sturdy enough. Now as for the instructions -- holy cow they could have done better. It was a piece of cake to construct the frame. It went smoothly and took about 45 minutes with one person. But when it came to adding the chain link, the instructions were a total fail. The QR code video was NO help, the printed instructions were somewhat better, but still very unclear. You need a minimum of two people to pull the chain link around, but three would have been better. Because the chain link is lightweight, it wanted to constantly tangle onto itself, making the whole process even harder. There were several rods that we couldn't figure out where they went. Honestly zip ties worked better than the wires provided for stability. You do end up with twisted raw edges at the top of the fencing all the way around and you have to be careful placing the top or they will rip it. Will have to get better anchors, as the ones provided are not enough to hold it. A dog bouncing and jumping on the fence will easily move it. Missing a rod cap, and some sort of latch to open and shut the door. I gave it a 4 due to the instructions and the fact that I do not believe it would contain a big dog. It just isn't strong enough. Fine for small and maybe medium dogs, but I know my German Shepherds could easily get out, the fencing is not strong enough.

I donated it to a local rescue and they were pleased to have it. The fact that the top is both UV and waterproof is extremely helpful.

This kennel was hard to assemble, specially because all of the chain link fence was tangled, it was really hard to detangle, by the time we were done detangling

The quality is not at all what I was expecting. I won’t be able to use it for my dog because I’m afraid it won’t be able to hold her in. The intent of this purchase was to be able to keep my dogs separate and this is not the tool for this.
