This is a pretty nice kennel, I use it for my cat so she can hang out in the yard while we cook on the grill. The assembly was pretty easy, my wife and I built it in about 45 minutes. The only thing I had to do was punch a few more holes around the ends of the canopy and install some zip ties to prevent potential escapes from Kitty.
I have connected 2 of these to make a nice catio for my cats. I had to cover some of the top with chicken wire just in case they climbed up to escape but that's the only adapting I had to do. This is easy to set up with 2 people and perfect for cats. The photo shown is when I just had one which was ok but not really enough for all 5.
I have no real complaints about this kennel. It is pretty heavy and sturdy when its put together. It took my husband and I about an hour to construct it. My only thing I'd change is the roof tarp is supposed to be secured with included bungee ties. However there aren't good places for all of them to be strapped to. Sometimes the nearest bar is too close or too far for a snug fit. Otherwise it's great. The door does swing both in and out, so you can mount it to open either from the left or right depending on your preference. My dog really enjoys being in it though, so that's the biggest win for us.
Although I am glad to have this for my dog to give her room to move around when I’m not home, I was kind of disappointed that some of the panels were bent a little and the one fencing part is pushed out but intact. I probably would’ve returned it for a different one but they are out of stock now.
This kennel came in one box with everything we needed included. It was easy for my husband and I to assemble, is sturdy and well made. We are very happy with our purchase.
I purchased the 8' x 4' x 6' Lucky Dog Kennel. I am more than happy with our Lucky Dog Uptown Kennel, and Ladybug is by far happier than I am. The kennel is very easy to assemble, pleasant to look at (definitely not an eyesore), and it has more than enough space for leisure and play time. The overhead canvas is perfect for protection from the sun and adverse weather. My only disappointment is that I can't add a 6th star to the rating. ; - )
We bought 2 and within 3 days my German Shepherd has broken off 3 wires that go up and down. Bigger and stronger dogs might not work out well. Smaller dogs should be ok but if she brakes anymore wires free it will be useless.
Absolutely love the kennel its huge enough room for 1 to 2 big pups. We have an 80 lbs labradoodle and 100 lb 7 month Cane Corso and they have a good amount of space.
Our rescue, Bella has anxiety issues and she also gets into things. Now we can have her outside with us when we are working in the garden or mowing. She is safe and loves being close to us.
