Instructions
To clean your LupinePet gear, machine or hand wash with warm (not hot) water and mild soap. No bleach, brighteners or whiteners. Air dry only – do not put them in the dryer. For extreme situations, pre-soaking in an enzymatic cleaner like Nature’s Miracle or Simple Solution may be helpful. When machine washing, put items in a mesh bag or include items in with jeans or other sturdy clothes. Shampoos and other topical treatments that contain bleaching agents, clarifiers, medicines or other chemicals can cause colors to transfer to your pet’s fur. When washing your pets gear, bathing your pet or applying any of the above, we recommend that their gear be removed until the items and/or your pet’s fur are completely dry.

Will this harness fit my cat?
The LupinePet Basic Solid H-Style Cat Harness comes in two adjustable sizes: 9-14 inches or 12-20 inches in girth. It is designed for cats and small pets under 20 lbs. We highly recommend measuring around your cat’s body, just behind the front legs, to ensure a proper fit. Please note that all items are handmade. Because every item is cut and sewn by hand, here at our workshop in New Hampshire, it is possible that there will be some variance in our size measurements.
Can I use this harness for my kitten?
This harness is designed for cats and small pets under 20 lbs. It can be used for kittens, but only if it fits snugly and securely. Always check for a proper fit before use.
How do I adjust the harness for the best fit?
Locate the adjustment tri-glides on the neck and girth straps. To tighten or loosen, push the webbing through the slider to create excess material, then pull it through on the other side to adjust. Ensure the harness is snug and secure but not too tight.
How do I put on and remove the harness?
Unbuckle the harness and slip the smaller loop over your cat’s head. Position the larger loop around the chest, just behind the front legs, and buckle it securely. Adjust the straps as needed to ensure a comfortable and escape-proof fit. To remove it, simply press the prongs on either side of the buckles to release them.
Can I take my cat outside wearing this harness?
Absolutely! This harness is designed for safe outdoor adventures. However, always ensure it is properly fitted before taking your cat outside, and never leave your cat unattended while wearing the harness.

Great product but not for every cat
Lupine makes good quality products, this basic harness is made of a softer lighter material than the other patterned "sea glass" harness I have but is still durable
Lupine makes good quality products, this basic harness is made of a softer lighter material than the other patterned "sea glass" harness I have but is still durable. In my experience these are escape proof for cats but I wouldn't recommend this collar style strap at the neck for cats who do a lot of pulling on their leash. Great for small and average sized cats but the vertical strap is too short for my larger longer cat creating tension at the collar, I wish they'd make a long cat version because these are really nice harnesses otherwise.

Given this, I find it difficult to understand how this brand justifies its “luxury” price point, particularly when the product fails to meet even basic quality standards. The inseam stitching lacks durability, the harnesses I received appeared inverted at the buckles, with the seams facing outward instead of inward for a finished look, and the hardware consists of soft, low grade plastic that does not inspire confidence in long term performance. Overall, I was disappointed in both the craftsmanship and the quality of materials. Suggested Improvements: 1. Reinforce stitching at all load-bearing seams to ensure structural integrity and longevity. 2. Align and finish seams inward for a cleaner, more professional aesthetic. 3. Upgrade hardware to a stronger, higher-quality polymer or metal alloy suitable for repeated use. 4. Incorporate sustainable materials or transparent sourcing practices to set the product apart from basic, low-cost harnesses. 5. Publicly disclose commitments to fair labor and environmental responsibility to justify the product’s premium pricing.

He is the most agreeable and non aggressive cat I have ever known. When I tried unbuckling it however the plastic hardware wouldn’t release and he got very scared and took off with one strap dangling. After catching him in a small room it still took awhile to get the other buckle to release. I have not tried it again yet and I haven’t used it for it’s intended purpose bringing him into the catio but I hope to very soon.

I like it does not go under kitty "armpits"
I was looking for something for my kitty that did not seem to restrict his movement as much as a harness that went under his "armpits" - something he really seemed
I was looking for something for my kitty that did not seem to restrict his movement as much as a harness that went under his "armpits" - something he really seemed not to like. He is much more willing to walk and explore our front yard in this harness that goes under his belly instead - to the extent that his leash will allow. I wish that the fastener worked no matter if it was upside-down or rightside-up, but there is only one way it will work. Sometimes it seems when I've finally got the material straight, I find out if won't fasten in that direction. If your kitty is not wearing a collar with identifying info, you may want to do what I did - write your kitty's name and family contact info. on a post it the width of the fabric and then use packing tape to attach it all the way around. I like knowing that info is on there just in case. It also feels less likely for him to wriggle his way out of this harness than other ones we've had. Also, the large size we bought not only fits him now, but allows for room for growth as he does love his kitty chow. I would recommend this.
