Are they chew-proof?

While this cable is strong enough to protect your cat, it is not chew-proof.

Works well for a small pet

I keep my cat supervised on this tether when we're on the patio. Recently he ran full speed from one side of the tether to the other because two birds started fighting

I keep my cat supervised on this tether when we're on the patio. Recently he ran full speed from one side of the tether to the other because two birds started fighting right outside the tether range. the tether successfully saved the birds (while breaking up the fight lol) and held strong. So it passed a use test for a 10 lb cat. With that said, my only complaint is that the clipping part seems cheap and can easily be degraded by dirt and sand. Something like this is only as strong as its weakest part, so I need to point out this is probably not the best choice for certain yards due to the clip quality.

Great length and weight

This has given Sir Henry, My cat, a greater range when I stake him outside at our apartment. It's light weight doesn't pull on his harness.

Light enough to not weigh kitty down

We have an older boy who loves being outside. As he gets a bit more frail, it was hard to use the previous leash/tie that I had for them. I was glad to find this

Low quality, get something more robust.

My 10lb cat was able to break free with just a 5ft running start. I will get a much stronger tether than this and suggest others do the same - this is only as good

My Arabian was diagnosed with PPID many years ago...10? He for was on Pergolide for awhile but it made him lose his appetite. He ended up skin and bones. He had

My Arabian was diagnosed with PPID many years ago...10? He for was on Pergolide for awhile but it made him lose his appetite. He ended up skin and bones. He had laminitis quite badly as well, twice. I switched him to Vitex Gold by Hilton Herbs. I use the liquid. He has been doing quite well since making the switch. He is tested every year to make sure we are keeping his ACTH levels in the right range. We have never had to change the dosage. I have another horse, a Rocky Mt. Horse that was diagnosed a year later. Same story. Their coats are normal, we ride them whenever we want. I believe Vitex Gold gave them back their lives. No drugs. My vet recommended against it. He still can't get over the fact that this stuff really works. It's truly an amazing product. Give twice a day on top of food. They still do not go out on pasture though...we substitute with beet pulp and alfalfa pellets/soaked overnight. And hay according to needs.

These tie outs are perfect. They're light, thin, and have little but strong hardware that is appropriate for cats of about 12 lb and under. I bought five and use varying numbers of them in combination with a tie-out stake that has a swivel ring. Both kittens can explore the yard, without the expense of a cat fence or catio. I also use one tie-out line with their harnesses to walk them (more like them walking me). Just clip one end to one harness, the other end to the other harness, and hold the middle. NOTE: I always sit out with my kitties when they're on the tie-outs; using this product under supervision is a must. Cats can get injured if they're left on their own with ropes.

I especially love the length and it gives her just the right amount of freedom to explore and sniff around when we're at the park, without feeling too far from me.
