Since switching to Maev, my dog’s coat has never looked better. It’s shiny, soft, and absolutely gorgeous. Everywhere we go people comment on how healthy she looks, and I know it’s because she’s finally getting real, human grade nutrition. Not only does she love every bite, but I love seeing her thrive inside and out.

I don't know how this is made versus the beef one - maybe she's just not used to it since I only fed her the beef before. But she loves chicken normally so I bought her this one to change it up, but she wouldn't even take one bite. Just sniff and walk away. I'm left with a $90 bag of good dog food...I wish they had some sample size bags to try out new flavors before committing to large ones.

We received the Maev raw diet food a week ago. It was very well packaged and kept cold with dry ice. I was very impressed. It was a 5lb bag that will feed my two dachshunds for awhile. The bag offered instructions on transitioning to a raw food from their previous food. It providemua range of dog weights and how much to feed at one meal. Tne food looked good with diced chicken and veggies. Instructions state to keep frozen and serve frozen. It added that you can let food thaw for 10 minutes. The foid was extremely hard. I followed the thaw instructions, but it really didn't do anything to soften the food. I didn't expect my dogs to like the cold hard food. My oldest dachshund is 15 and doesn't have all his teeth. He actually ate all of his bowl. My younger dachshund is 4 and didn't particularly like the cold hard food, but ate the chicken and some veggies. She would throw out the frozen greenbeans on the floor. I did use this food as a topper on their kibble just in case they didn't like it. I feel like the food is too hard even though the company states it would help with tarter. I personally didn't like feeding them frozen food. They seem to prefer the prepared trays or homemade food.

My boerboel LOVES this. She doesn't care if it's frozen, cooked, whatever but she's so into it. My other dog, not so much. He is far from a picky eater. He'll eat ANYTHING. He loves food in general. But, he wouldn't touch this frozen. He'd eat around it when I mixed it with his kibble. HOWEVER, when I heated it up on the stove, he was so into it. It does lose its shape and turn into more of a "gravy" as others mentioned, but he likes that too. He'll pick the green beans out usually and leave them on the floor (lovely) while he's eating the potatoes and meat, but eventually he eats the green beans too as long as I cook it. I usually put it on the stove for 5 min or so with a splash of bone broth. Overall, much healthier than the alternative, but he really doesn't like it frozen at all. And I've given him raw frozen chicken breasts before, raw frozen liver, frozen blueberries, he's a sucker for blanched potatoes...so I know he likes the majority of the ingredients, not sure what the difference is with Maev. If your dog isn't into it either, try warming it on the stove til the liver breaks into more of a liquid but the meat cubes stay raw.

The Maev Chicken Formula Supplemented for Skin & Coat is a win! The food looks so good that I’d honestly eat it myself. It is clear how fresh and high-quality the ingredients are. I’ve been slowly transitioning my dog to this, and I’ve never seen him so excited for a meal before. He eagerly waits by his bowl, and the moment I serve it, he dives in like it’s the best thing he’s ever tasted. Knowing it’s human-grade and specially formulated for his skin and coat makes me feel great about feeding it to him. I’m looking forward to seeing the benefits as he continues to enjoy it!

I recently tried Maev Chicken formula for sensitive skin/stomach frozen raw food for my 9 yr old 8 lb. dachshund Rick. I followed the directions on the bag for thawing & mixing the new food with the old - he clearly loved the Maev food as he ate that first!! He's been eating it for 10 days now & he seems to be less itchy - which makes me happy 😊. I did have to back off on the amount of new food I mixed in at first because it upset his stomach & he did vomit - but all is good now! The food comes in small bite size chunks with veggies that look delicious & healthy! Much better than the dry kibble he's used to eating.
