How much time before a ride do I feed it for it to start working?
Answer by ChewyOct 06, 2017
This supplement should be given at least 30 minutes prior to an event.

How long do the effects last?
Answer by ChewyJul 02, 2019
The effects for this supplement typically last 2 to 4 hours, however please be aware that all horses absorb nutrients and vitamins differently so the length of time it will last is also dependent on how well the horse will utilize the active ingredients. It is also safe to use up to three wafers at one time if you do not see the desired effects.

Works great

My gelding gets a little cautious on trails and this has definitely helped.

Still waiting for the calm to kick in.....

Received these, and my horse doesn't like them. I have been hiding the cookies broken up in his feed to get him to eat them. So far, no difference in attitude that I can see. Will finish feeding him the rest of the bag before I give up...

Great product love!!!

It worked really well calming my high anxiety horse and she can still have that focus. Not sleepiness. Love these treats!

Kalm Wafers

I have had only one opportunity to use these and, at that time, did not notice any difference in my horses behavior.

Wanted to like this

Only 1 out of 6 of our horses will eat these willingly and for the others we have to crumble them up and sneak them in. We have not noticed any change in any of the horses we have tried them on and have been using them for almost a full month. Tried increasing and still no difference. I love this company! They are local and have great employees. We use several of their other products but we won't be using this one again. :(

Sweating and sour smelling

Opened package and within an hour the whole package of cookies went into a sweat and became slimy with a white coating all over them. By the end of the day it smelled sour. Horses wont eat them and I dont blame them...Waiting for the company to get back to me. I have filed a complaint directly with the company.

No Results At 30 Days

I have a sensitive, spooky gelding that gets a bit overwhelmed in certain situations. I'd hoped this supplement would help, but didn't notice a change in his focus. The cookie idea is a great one (Mr. Fussy didn't care for them, so we had to hide them in his meals).

Jury is still out

I have two mules, a donkey and am boarding two Mustangs. As a taste test, I offered this supplement to each of them. Only the donkey and one of the Mustangs would eat it without question. Mules can be very picky eaters so you have to "disguise" anything with a medicinal smell or taste. Therefore, I'm not sure if these wafers will work or not.

Seems to be working

I had purchased a calming supplement powder for my mare, and she wouldn't even touch it. I decided to try these as a last resort. I couldn't believe that she took it right off my hand, and has been eating them every night with her feed. This is not a tranquilizer, she still spooks if a bird flies up at her, and she is looky at trash in the ditches, but it has greatly improved her disposition.
