Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

Soothing Toy
By FirstNewPuppy on Apr 11, 2021
My puppy chews on this rope to soothe himself when we put him in the crate after he gets the zoomies. He will go from out of control crazy and chewing, then once in the crate he lies down peacefully, gnaws on this rope toy for a few minutes then falls asleep. I like that it’s cotton material that is safe. The ends are fluffy, while the twisted part and knots are quite hard and good for biting.

Toy was great, color not so much
By Ashlay on Mar 27, 2021
It does say color varies, but I thought with two boy dogs on my file I would get a boy-ish color. I did get a pink toy, which is fine, but I should’ve picked one I could pick the color for. All around sturdy toy though. I’d definitely recommend if you don’t care what color you get.

bought on mar. 1 - 5 weeks later, still holding up
By mjdodd on Apr 8, 2021
even though my pup is under 6 months old, she is most definitely a heavy, tenacious chewer. she loves rope toys and this one has really held up well. for the large pile of toys that have fallen apart, this one is still in the favorite's lineup.

Awesome toy
By Dani on Mar 4, 2021
Lemme start with ITS HUGE. Its probably as tall or taller than my pup. But she loves long ropes. Threads are thin, which means no vomiting up whatever she may swallow, which is a lifesaver for me because she always throws up on my bed... Pup is a dachshund and cavalier king Charles Spaniel. 10 months old. AGGRESSIVE CHEWER. Surprisingly she has not destroyed this. I love it. :)

Strong and durable
By Tugs on Apr 1, 2021
We have a very powerful 14 month old Borzoi puppy that loves to play Tug ! She is so strong that she easily rips off pieces of most of her tug toys but this rope has been indestructible so far !

For very large dog only
By Camelia on Apr 7, 2021
Very well made rope toy. I should have read the dimensions carefully though. My pup is around 50lbs and it’s a bit too big for her that she couldn’t really get a good grip on it.

Good for puppies and non-aggressive chewers
By SalemLab on Dec 30, 2020 top50Contributor
We normally buy Mammoth's 5 knot rope (and I LOVE it) for our power chewer 2-year-old Labrador. For a friend's new rescue dog who seems to be gentler than my crazy Lab, I decided to get this 3 knot rope. It's still long enough for a large pit mix to play tug with, but it's definitely thinner in diameter than the 5 knot. For both products, I love that the material is cotton because if my dog starts to chew and shred, I don't panic if he swallows a small piece of cotton thread. Never had a problem there and we have had these ropes for 18 months or so. If your dog is a power chewer/shredder, I'd spent the extra money to get the thicker 5 knot rope. We have 2 and even when he eventually chewed his first rope down after 6 months, we were able to "trim" it so now it's maybe a 10" section that he proudly carries around like a bone. Both ropes are still in good shape. I like Mammoth's products and will continue to purchase. … more

I don't recommend this for active chewers
By Anna on Mar 8, 2021
My dog is an active chewer and he chews through anything and everything. Unfortunately the material this rope is made of isn't that strong and he practically chewed thru part of the rope the first night I gave it to him.

Entertaining
By Truffles on Mar 29, 2021
My puppy really likes this toy. Her & I play tug a war with it. It keeps her entertained & pre occupied. She is still teething so this helps her with chewing.

Just a carry toy
By Julie on Jan 8, 2021
My big Doberman prefers to chew on her bed stuffing or tissues or cardboard. Whenever she goes outside she has to carry a toy with her. Sometimes I can't find them in the yard, so I buy extra ones whenever I can. This is a very durable toy, at least for her to carry! I don't know how long it would last if she started chewing it. Probably one day. But it's important to get safe chew toys, whatever they are. And I need durable toys because they might have to be outside for a few days until I find them.
