how far from the clip is the first handle?

This leash has a Padded Traffic Handle at 19 inches and an overall length of 6 feet
Does this leash come in a shorter length...I am 5'2" and have a 65lb lab/boxer mix. The 6ft is too long for me.

Well satisfied on all levels

This is an excellent leash for keeping your dog at your side. The short handle is the perfect distance for allowing a loose lead while the dog heels while the end handle allows the opportunity for exploration and doing their business. I use it with the gentle leader head collar. This has made it possible for an elderly lady to walk a dog that constantly pulled ahead and it is plenty strong for a 50 lb dog to be reined in when needed.

Length is different

I ordered this same leash (same brand and same length) within the last 2 years... Both my husband and I like the length and traffic handle placement and reflective quality.... So I ordered a new one and the placement of the handle is different and the length is longer. He rides the bike while our Golden runs alongside (for short distances, and she LOVES it) but it is hard to adjust to the change in length. Other than that it seems fine.... Just note that it is not the same.

Pretty Darn Good Leash

We like the slight padding inside the two grip loops. Seems to be very high-quality; we don't think it will fray quickly after dragging on the ground or getting wrapped around trees. We do have short little "T-rex" arms and it would be perfect if the lower loop was about 1 inch higher. Still, looks good, does the job, and seems like it will last.

traffic handle a little too low

overall great. I wish the traffic handle is a bit higher -- I have to bend down to reach it, defying the purpose of the traffic handle. This is especially a problem if the pup is short, or if the clip clips to the chest (front) ring of a harness.

The Best Leash Ever!

This leash has it all and more! I needed a new leash because our other leash couldn't contain my 80 pound, 10 month old tornado GSD (the leash started to come apart). This leash appears to be very sturdy and strong, excellent quality and construction. I was looking for something reflective, and with an extra ring for his poop bags. I also liked the extra handle closer to him to help keep him contained when he gets really excited (it's soooo much better with the extra handle - the old leash was hurting my skin). Well, when the leash was delivered, I discovered an extra bonus: the handles are padded! BRILLIANT! Walking my insane puppy is now much better, no more blisters. Yes, we're working on training, but, in the meantime, if you also have a very imperfect crazy pants dog, this is the leash for you!

Perfect leash

This is a perfect daily leash. It's well made. I'm 5'2" and use it for my 65 lb puppy. I LOVE having the short handle- it allows me to hold her close if theres a distraction/just have more control in general.

Great Leash for a great cause!

Love these leashes so much we have two! Strong and comfortable padding for your hands with two handles. One lower down for when you need to draw your dog near. And best of all proceeds go to shelters! Get this leash!
