Where are these sourced from?

These mealworms are grown in China. China is the largest supplier of dried mealworms (and many other insects) in the world, and they have perfected their processes. There are very limited suppliers in the USA and, unfortunately, none of them produce mealworms in the volume this brand needs. The manufacturer uses multiple quality control steps including annual visits to their suppliers to ensure these products are of the highest quality.

I put food out for wildbirds, peacocks and more recently, my neighbors’ chickens. They each have their own food that they eat. But the one thing they have in common is an absolute frenzy over these mealworms. I had bought another kind of mealworm trying to save some money. Though they reluctantly ate them, they basically all turned their beaks up at those. These are definitely their preferred mealworms of choice.

I HAVE A POOL..... NO SHELLS TO WORRY WITH.... EVERYTHING LOVES THESE DRIED WORMS....!!! USING FOR YEARS!! THEY EVEN BRING THEIR NEW BORNS OVER TO THE FOOD......
