Will small work for a 4 lbs yorky?

This lead is made for Extra Small & Toy Breeds, Small Breeds and Medium Breeds.
What is the tensile strength on this lead? My dog is 45 lbs.; however, she can easily pull over 150 lbs. I'm not sure if the 3/8" is appropriate for her, or if I should size up to the 1/2" for the extra strength of the rope?

The Small 3/8 inch rope is recommended for dogs 50 pounds and under. The Large 1/2 inch rope is recommended for dogs 50 - 250 pounds. The Theoretical Tensile is at 1,700 pounds force. Theoretical Tensile Safe working load is at 170 pounds.
What color is the hardware (the metal ring etc.) on this slip lead?

The metal pieces are silver in color.
How heavy is it? Can it roll up in a pocket?

This leash weights 6 ounces and can be folded up to be put into a pocket.

Great slip lead by a reputable brand!

Slip leads by design are a very simple tool, so when I was looking fora slip lead for my 34 lb dog, the width, durability and design elements were what I was looking for and I found it with Mendota! The leather accents are very nice, I like that you can choose between 3/8" width versus 1/2" depending on the weight of your dog. The color options for the lead was great too, I chose the sea foam one and have gotten quite a few compliments!

Great quality Leash

This is a great quality leash. Very well made. It has an adjustable slip lead which is a nice added feature. Very thick and durable.

Great Leash

Work great

Perfect four foot length for my dogs to stay next to me, Staffordshire bull terrier and border collie mix. Enough length to let them sniff off the sidewalk tree lawn while I stay put on the sidewalk. Good control, easy on/off, soft leather slide to cinch down loop around neck works smoothly. High quality. Recommend.

My go to leash

These are great. I have 6 dogs and lots of leashes, but I always grab these ones. They are light and comfortable and when you slide the leather snap thing down, your dog is secure. They also come in lots of colors

love Mendota!

I’ve bought around 10 mendota slip leads in the past few years and I’ve always been super pleased every time! They’re soft, VERY durable, the slip function slides easily, and the colors are so bright and vibrant even wash after wash! I will probably forever buy mendota slips, I still haven’t found a brand out there I like even half as much!

Great for daycare drop-off/pick-up

I bought this specifically for doggy daycare drop-off and pick-up as she doesn't wear a harness at daycare. This works great for getting her safely out of the car in the door and through their gate (and vice versa). They can then easily take it off and put on. I like the slide thing b/c it helps assure me it won't get too lose and she'd back/slip out. It's why my rescue stopped using slip leads for squirrely doggos and now uses martingales. My daycare however, won't put a collar off/on and I don't like the martingale for her when playing with other dogs. Anyway - this fits my need for in/out of daycare securely. I won't ever walk her in this or use it otherwise unless in an emergency, I don't believe in using slip leads or collars for training or everyday use.
